Dear valued Disney Vacation Club Member,
We would like to let you know of an upcoming temporary closure of Disney Vacation Club® Member Lounge at EPCOT®. From June 2, 2024 to July 13, 2024 the Member Lounge at EPCOT® will be temporarily closed due to a planned refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen on July 14, 2024.
If you plan on visiting EPCOT® during the temporary closure period, please use our temporary lounge inside The Odyssey, located between Test Track and Mexico Pavilion, where you’ll find a sectioned space made available for eligible Members. Here you may enjoy comfortable seating, complimentary beverages and snacks as well as access to additional paid food and beverage offerings within The Odyssey. The temporary lounge will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (subject to change), and the standard Member Lounge eligibility and rules apply to the use of this location.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this temporary closure period.

We'll barely miss this, as our last day is for our upcoming trip is June 1. I'm grateful I don't have to go to the odyssey. Though it's a more convenient location IMO, I think that will also mean it'll be busier and thus harder to get into. I'll bet DVC will enjoy a little spike in interest when they see all the foot traffic passing by the club they can't get into.

We won't be back until October and this will be long over. Be interesting to see what the real DVC lounge refurb looks like.

Is the odyssey larger than the lounge above figment? You know, it probably is, but I suspect they won't close the entire thing off for this temporary lounge because there is a food counter there and they probably want to maintain seating for those customers as well.
I suspect there will be a separate area or room cordoned off for this.

The food counter isn't always open though. I'll be spanning the two locations so I'll check it out. BWV stay so lots of Epcot time. |

No impact to us. We have only been to the lounge twice since it opened. Both times it was to meet other people.
Quite honestly, I forget 95% of the time that the DVC lounge even exists at Epcot.

It's a great place to get a cold drink on a hot day. We go at least once every trip, usually more than once since we go to Epcot a lot. Great place to just chill. Literally.

Oh well, I was hoping to take my family up into the Imagination pavilion during our trip just to see someplace neat that most can't. I guess on the plus side, the bathrooms should be more convenient in the Odyssey building and my mom won't have to take an elevator if we go, lol.

We've yet to visit this lounge although DH's goofy brother impersonated him and got up/in with our SIL. Like 8 years ago we gave them a stay at Bay Lake and a member card so they could go up to TOWL. We didn't realize he'd use the card to get the DVC discount on purchases and access to the member lounge. We were so upset with him. I wrote about him on the MO's Misbehaving thread. We've never given him another stay on his own (he was just with us at the Treehouse). Maybe in September I'll put the lounge on my bucket list. Forgot about the AP lounge. Really, we don't sit much in the parks unless there's a 'BOC' (beverage of choice) in front of us.
