I'll be honest. I think those pictures are a bit oversaturated in some of the shots. The resort TV colors seem a bit bright.

Well....You will find out in person after your Poly add-on and book your 2025 stay! Absolutely! And just received closing documents today. The stupid lady only emailed one of the accounts letting us know we passed on Monday - not the main one that I communicated from but my spouse's Disney account that I check 2x a week. Cannot wait to book!

I love the look and the layout of the one bedroom and the studios. The layout of the studio is a big improvement in general. But I'm most excited for their to finally be a one-bedroom at the Poly, and to have two bedrooms is fantastic.

Rooms are available for booking now. I gotta say, the pictures make the room look better than the video did IMO. This one stood out to me...the shower in what seems to be the 2nd bath in the one or two bedrooms. In the video it looked pretty much white/beige with a few flecks of blue. In the picture it looks black with blue. Honestly, a lot of the colors look different to me. In the video, so much of the rooms looked pale and washed out. The flower above the tub seemed to be about the same shade as the walls, with a slightly darker wall behind it. In the pictures, there is a much more noticeable contrast. It's a similar situation with the headboard in the master bedroom. I hope they just had bad lighting or too much contrast or something in the video and the rooms are closer to the pictures. The studios still wouldn't work for us, but the one-bedrooms would be a consideration.

Wow! That looks a lot better. If those are the actual colours, then a) it looks way better than the video and b) someone messed up big time on the video.

When I have time I'll try to color match the TV to see what I think they should be. I do think the video is under saturated. I think these are over saturated due to the TV colors. Reality I think is right in between.

Well some colour would be better than the colour on the video, where everything seemed to be sandy beige. There was no contrast at all, which is why I was so unimpressed.

Well some colour would be better than the colour on the video, where everything seemed to be sandy beige. There was no contrast at all, which is why I was so unimpressed. You're talking the official video with the lady with rose tone to her blonde hair right or was there one I missed? Because I see multiple colors and quite a lot of contrast with both colors and textures on that as it is. I see nice contrasts of color on all the seating, on the carpets, by the headboards, in the bathrooms by the mirrors, and all that. I realize I see more colors than some (tested for jewelry work - yes it's a thing) but to say there was no contrast at all, is hard for me to understand. Maybe some want bolder colors. I've seen it repeatedly regurgitated on a couple of PVB tower hating sites. The thing is, not everyone likes harsh, dark or super bright colors. Either version to me is totally gorgeous. For calming senses, I hope it's between the two. I will take either though. The current PVB lacks diversity in colors and is a bit dark. I enjoy the rooms but like lighter better. Disney actually went lighter due to complaints at the Polynesian. They'll likely go lighter in all the rooms next time due to customer feedback. I'm sure some will prefer darker, but there are other resorts for those who do want darker or harsher colors. The color scheme here is more luxe for sure than the current PVR rooms as a whole. Some will appreciate it and others not. I personally go for more luxe feels. I'm interested to see the bathroom with the mother of pearl. Those never translate well into pictures so it'll be neat to see how it looks IRL.

One thing I love about this decor in the Poly tower. For once it feels very “ adult”. Love that it has a nouveau appearance while staying true to the theme. I cant wait to hear the reviews!!!

I still expect them to start sales end of July, early August..... I also can't wait to see how the tanking Ft Wilderness Cabins sales impact the Poly pricing.

We're not likely to ever stay here, but it will be a fun place to visit.
Cheers.

And Nickys obviously isn't a hater 😉 It's just a difference of opinion about what people see and prefer in the rooms. I'm coming around on them, well, at least until I see the point charts lol I'm glad you like them because I know you were really excited about the new tower and staying there. Like you said, that's the nice thing about DVC resorts; different resorts appeal to different people. 😊

Hits I've seen point to Oct. I know I'm out until 2025 with our schedule. You're talking the official video with the lady with rose tone to her blonde hair right? Like you said, that's the nice thing about DVC resorts; different resorts appeal to different people. 😊 I didn't say Nickys was a hater, first and foremost. To even suggest that direction is uncool. I asked if there was a different video I missed because each thing I've seen shows greens, yellows, and teals with light teak color. I was also on vacation when all hit. So likely could have missed something. As for the beige regurgitation hate, WDWMagic is downright nasty there towards PVB tower. To the point I cannot stand to be there anymore. I peeked a day ago and they're ramping right up. So they're one site to go to if you love negativity. Tikiman's been struggling to get people to stop posting hate towards it. Constant negativity is toxic and hard to overcome. If beige is the only complaint then go with it. One of the other official pages run by a DVC guy is doing better now after saying the attacking needed to quit Though reality is these colors and themes were pulled from the original Polynesian drawings in the 60s before they swapped to what they did. I'm a massive Polynesian fan and on many more sites than average. So I likely see more than most. You don't have to love all the same but I'm over negativity with this honestly. It's gotten awful honestly. People want to be mad, and sadly that's not healthy. But that's me.

It's gotten awful honestly. People want to be mad, and sadly that's not healthy. But that's me. Naw, I wasn't saying you thought Nickys was a hater. You said you'd seen it on PVB Tower hating sites. Nickys had the same criticism and she's obviously not a hater. I'm not a hater either. So it's not just about people hating the tower was my point. People just have different preferences (as you said). I also think a lot of people just feel strongly about this stuff. When the bungalows were built there were a lot of critical comments. One can still find complaints about changes to the lobby at Poly or the DVC building at Grand. I agree that WDWMagic is negative in many of their comments - across a lot of topics. I do appreciate that there are a variety of opinions, a lot of historical knowledge, and seemingly many posters who have info on the behind the scenes workings at Disney. But, I definitely prefer the tenor of Mouse/MagicOwners.
