Not for a holiday fireworks show, but for a regular night, I've sometimes thought about bringing my ipad in and watching the fireworks overhead from the back of the park with a view of the castle projections timed to match it on ipad screen. Haven't done this yet, but I keep thinking it could be a great way to catch an uncrowded view of the fireworks show.

Walk through the Boca Chica building at the GF and you can watch all the fireworks from the grassy area on the Seven Seas Lagoon. No crowds. Bring a blanket to sit on if you don't want to stand. The same display that is set off behind the MK is also shot off from an island in the lagoon, simultaneously. You can see them both at the same time, as well as all the perimeter fireworks. Best viewing place to see everything is the beach at the Poly.

We are planning on watching the MK fireworks from our room at PVB on the 3rd. If all works well, that is. lol. Sadly, our littles and even ourselves normally are passed out by 11pm.
Tom - we hope to run into you over the next couple of days!

Hope everyone has great trips, and a great 4th of July!! I know it's hotter than Hades, but I wish we'd taken a quick summer trip down there. Have fun!!

After all of the 7/4 fireworks research, I was sick on 7/4 and fell asleep around 8 PM. Overall, it was a good long weekend. 7/4 early in MK was empty. We rode Buzz, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder, HM, Pirates, Tiana twice and Little Mermaid between 7:30-10:30, with a few in the park breaks. We left MK around 11 and had lunch at Geyser Point. We stayed at Pop Century. Good room location--short walk to bus, Skyliner and food court. Mediocre dinner at Toledo. Excellent dinner at Morimoto.

Hope you're feeling better today. Much better. Thanks! I think it was a combination of the heat and lack of sleep.

That'll do it. I remember one August in Epcot, ice and cold water in an attempt to cool down. That's when the appeal of "summer park zombie" (after sunset hours only) really made sense for the first time to me.
Glad you're doing better and hope it was a great trip overall!
