We have not stayed at Wilderness Lodge since they closed the walkway. Does anyone know if that will ever reopen or is it permanently closed. It was such a nice walk.

I don’t know for certain but if it’s not there now I doubt it will ever come back. They’ve taken down so many trees and reconfigured so much over at Fort Wilderness, I’m not sure if the old trail was affected. I’d love to see it come back also. We used to rent bikes and ride over.

They were repaving in June. That's all I have. I miss it immensely too.

We, too used to rent bicycles and ride there, even on our empty nest trips. Always one of our must-do's - really miss it!

We were there over the past weekend. A cast member told us that the walkway is still closed and there are no plans to reopen it. We always enjoyed that walk between the 2 resorts and had wanted to wander over after lunch at Geyser Point…..which was very good. That goodness is prompting GP to become a sit down restaurant, in the near future, and not an informal spot. So, another place that will require an ADR. We only had a 15 minute wait when we walked up at 2 pm.

Agree why repave of they are not reopening. I love GP because i dont need ADR.

The manager there told me it's permanently closed, due to being considered part of the "construction site" when they were going to build Reflections. Just recently something happened to indicate that project may be starting again, so I'd expect the path to be closed at least through that. It would be nice if it would reopen after Reflections was built, but I don't have a reliable crystal ball ;-)

Hmm...so it looks like reflections is back on and they are not converting more WL to DVC. Is DVC flooding the disney market?
