Yesterday there were two new permits filed, one for work at Wilderness Lodge and one for 19 separate and new addresses near to the resort.
This is leading to speculation that there could be a Phase 2 of CCV planned.
Firstly there is a long term construction permit filed for WL itself, with the usual 12 month validity period extended to December 2026. This could simply be a refurbishment, although with the last one completed in 2021 it seems early. It could also be an exterior refurbishment &/or development. The two and a half year period of the permit suggests something more than just a normal refurbishment, DVC or otherwise, leading to some speculation of further conversion of hotel rooms to DVC.
The second permit is more interesting. It is a building permit filed for 19 separate addresses, none of which are existing addresses on the RCID mapping site, therefore suggesting 19 new structures. The locations range from W Wilderness Way and Timberline Drive, nearer to WL than the Reflections site. Given the 19 new addresses one fairly likely scenario would be new cabins for CCV. This permit lasts until March 2027.

YEAH.....More of what we don't want!
So if this s true, you are adding more unit types that will further disrupt the point/reservation system.

If they are also converting hotel rooms into DVC that might make it less worse. Maybe. Although I don’t like that idea either, I think it would unbalance the resort between regular and DVC when you take BRV into account.

As for now, its just another rumor. However, Disney needs to look/plan for the next DVC Resort. New resorts take 2-3 years to build. Riviera and Poly Tower will be sold out by then. The Cabins are a black hole and will be selling forever.

I saw info on the permit but wasn't sure if one was for CCV refurb which is scheduled If this is anything beyond creating a good path between the two resorts I'll be mad. We don't need more there.

I wonder if they are going to build on the pathway between wilderness lodge and ft. wilderness. I wish they would stop building. At this rate, dvc resorts will run vacant too. there is already good availability at SSR next week. Poly will slow down RIV sales. Maybe they will have a big sale to get rid of riv points

Some of the addresses listed on this permit match those filed back in 2019 for what was thought to be for Reflections. Extra addresses for locations nearer to WL have been added.,
Maybe Reflections is back in a modified form. Separate “lodges” and more spread out than originally shown on the blueprints. This would be the 3rd or 4th iteration of possible designs.

Apparently, Reflections also included "cabins" and the addresses listed on the new permit match addresses from a 2019 permit for Reflections.

It’s now giving me the vibes of Sequoia Lodge at Disneyland Paris.
That has a main building where the restaurants, lounge, lobby etc are, plus some rooms. And then there are buildings in the wooded area around it, each with several rooms in them. Like POR in the Bayou section, for example. The pool is separate from the main building but reachable via a covered walkway.,
With the addresses on this permit stretching between the cleared Reflections site around the road to WL, maybe in this case the main building and facilities are on the cleared site and the lodges spread out along the (to be reinstated ) path.
But half of those lodges will be closer to WL than the cleared site. I don’t know how far this along that path, but it would be very spread out.
