We're doing one day in DL/CA, this coming Friday. I'm reading up on the DL LL system. Why did Disney create two different systems (DL vs. WDW) (rhetorical question) DL--no booking LL's in advance; the system "opens" when the park opens. DL--can't choose your ILL return window. Watch the app for the return window you want then book it. This is annoying. DL--the MEP thing; this looks to be an advantage if you know how to work the system. It's like the company has two different IT teams programming their own system, or they are using the two systems to test which is more effective and will pick the best parts from each.

Every Disney resort around the world has a different system. And I think they always have had since FP+

Ever since paper fastpasses went away, with the exception of the recent Genie+, DL has almost always been slightly different in how they handled expedited access.

Cheers.

And efficient. We can't have that.

If I was asked to sum up Disney in 10, 20 or 50 words, consistency would not feature at all.

Cheers.

I actually like how it works at DL, with the exception of ILL, its similar to the old Max Pass. We tend to arrive late morning then take an afternoon break and then stay to close. We can generally get on 5-8 attractions with the pass plus a few more with stand by. A smaller percentage of guests buy the passes compared to WDW.

For ILL, it looks like we'll have to frequently check the return window until we see the return window that works for us, then make the purchase. Correct? We want to ride Radiator Springs Racers after World of Color. ILL looks to be the best way to do that and avoid a long wait.

yes, I think that is how it works but i don't think I have ever used an ILL at DL. For RSR, we usually either go first thing in the morning or at the very end of the night or use single rider. The single rider line can be really quick at times.
At DL park, the wait times drop dramatically after 10p (with a 12a close).
