Thank you for posting the existence of the farewell message. Reading it was bittersweet and makes me appreciate the work of creating the Magic Owners replacement site.

A lovely message from Kim and Eric. I think it brings a sense of closure, the end of the Mouseowners era. It was kind of them to post a link to this site.
I am very thankful for the site and community they created, although I was only a part of that for a few years. Hopefully this site can continue that legacy and become a new home.
And if, like me, you didn’t click the other link in the dedication to Kim’s grandmother I suggest you do so. But make sure you have tissues to hand. The words are very appropriate.
So thank you Kim and Eric. And not forgetting Tom and Dirk who also gave so much of their time to Mouseowners.

No archiving at this point, huh? I had hoped that the information could live on, but over time much of it will become dated.
It was great while it lasted! And hopefully this iteration will live on

I am having some difficulties not saying mouseowners and saying magicowners….change can be scary, but can be good and moving forward is a part of life. I feel blessed having experienced MO and meeting some people as well. Sadly with two little ones it has been challenging, but hopefully some people I have not had a chance to meet I can look forward to meeting and new MO’s in the future!

Would agree. MO was it for me back in 2007. I started posting when we bought AKV, shared many trip reports as my kids grew up. Now 14 and 18! But always love MO's as a source for info, the latest news and updates.
Also met a few great renters that I have been able to rent from: DVCqueen and CMrogers.

I started on the DisBoards. Someone I knew from Flyertalk, who was also on MO, but not for a long while, send a PM to tell me about MO. I joined there and never looked back. A wealth of great people and excellent information.
That is clearly continuing here based on the community and vibe created by Kim, Eric, Dirk, Tom and my fellow MouseOwners.

Fortunately I had been calling mouseowners MO for years. Still works. Still type in the other though at times. |

Farewell Mouseowners, they really set the bar high and their contributions to DVC enterprise will be missed but never forgotten. Welcome MagicOwners. Very honor to be part of your maiden voyage and welcome home.
