It just dawned on me that this cake shop is a sit down. I'm guessing you can still get something to go. So that means your $26 slice of cake + your $8 small cup of tea will be about $42 once you include tax and tip!!

I am told these cakes serve more than one but I'll pass. I really don't like cake enough for a shop full of it, let alone crazy prices.

Our top favorite places for dinner are the following in order (much of this has to do with food preferences as well).
Narcooses (grand Floridian) Space 220 (we have kids) Storybook Dining (food presentation is fantastic [check the menu] and the characters) Rosa Mexicana Il Mulino The boathouse (Sunday brunch is awesome!) Topolinos (if the menu works for you)

I think they took the menu back down! It is blank on the app, and it appears to be missing from the site too.

DW had the sole, and as much as I liked the beef, I'd get the sole next time.

It wasn't up through most of the summer at least. It's been giving me an error in MDE any time you click on the menu for quite some time. Coming soon on the website. There were pictures up of the menu posted outside and this one put it all into text wdwnt.com/2024/10/23-egg-sandwich-cake-bake-shop-menu-wdw/I just didn't recall it ever making it to the website this past week or so, but if it was a Friday I would have missed it lol

This is a good suggestion as we will get, at most, one main. So worth knowing what is tasting good.
Cheers.

I’m sure I’ll visit at some point just due to its prime location but the cake place will indeed be a rare meal for me. Big River Grille was never great but at least convenient at times. Definitely could use a replacement soon.

Is the construction done at BWV? I'm starting to regret my decision to stay there the first half of the trip. The construction aspect should be completed by now. I honestly really didn't pay attention to it after our trip. When we were there, the construction wasn't even all that big of a deal to us. I would not second guess your trip there at all. I actually really prefer a lot of the food options at other Resorts anyway even if Big River Grill existed as well as the old ESPN. They were not my favorite places to go anyway. I love the area. We have stayed there a couple of times before. I was hoping for better food options. I was bummed to find out the cart with burgers and shakes is gone now too. I regret not staying at the Grand Floridian as I've never stayed there.

It would be hard for me to say which other two resorts I think is actually better. There is a whole lot I love about the boardwalk area. There's a whole lot of really like about the grand floridian! Food options at the Grand are better, but I think the Boardwalk has more options nearby as a whole. There is weirdly a lot about the location of the Grand Floridian that I am absolutely not a fan of. But, that has to do with going to and from Epcot which is why I do prefer my beloved polynesian. Definitely try to stay at the Grand if you can sometime, but I really don't think the lack of food at the Boardwalk just really diminished my stay at all. I like a lot of the other food options nearby better anyway.

Please someone tell me that a slice of cake is NOT $22.00?
