Hello! I have both a regular dining reservation and a Fantasmic dinner package booked for next week at Sci-Fi diner. I’m wondering if anyone has been recently (with only one showing of Fantasmic) and could say if the dinner package is really worth it? My hope was to avoid having to line up super early before the show. I think even with the package we have to get there 30 min early, which is ok. I just don’t want to have to wait much longer than that.
Thank you!

We did it just last week, but we had lunch at Mama Melrose. Our server also told us to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the 8:00 show. As we had already spent the morning at DHS and the whole afternoon at EP, we were really dragging by the time we got back to DHS. We didn’t want to sit and wait for 30 minutes, so we kept walking around killing time. We saw a short wait time for TSMM, and got in the queue around 7:10. After the ride we arrived at Fantasmic around 7:45, as the masses were filing in. We were sure we’d end up at the back of the reserved section, but we sat at the end of the 7th row, which is right in the middle of the theater and was a great view. Lots of folks were already in the higher rows too, but there was still plenty of room closer to the front. Clearly, they hadn’t sold out the packages. The standby seating appeared to be pretty full, with lots of requests to slide all the way over to make room, etc.
And the new version of Fantasmic was terrific! Well worth the upcharge for the better seating.
Incidentally, we thought there would be only one showing that night too. But on the day of we got push notifications that there would be two showings that night. The second show was at 9:30.
