As far as I can see, it gives you the option of buying special rate tickets, using points to buy the Sorcerer AP, bonus OTU and priority access to the Lounges at DL, MK and Epcot.

Merging threads since we already had one For us, it doesn't help much. I could see how it could for some.

The only thing I don’t like with this is the lounge and character priority access. It essentially splits the members into 2 types. Yes, I know there are already a couple of types - direct and resale with various levels of restrictions. However, Disney has nothing to do with resales. So, now, they will be splitting direct members. I really wish they offered this without the priority lounge and character access.

Crazy that it's a buy-up rather than just an additional perk. This opens the floodgates for any new potential membership extras perk to be just added to this plan and increasing its price, rather than being an included perk for buying direct.
Before it was buying direct -> eligible for perks, and now it's buying direct -> eligible to pay more for for perks.

All I can think of now is “One Step Beyond” by Madness. Just about sums this up. 🙄

I'm not sure I've ever had an issue recently but maybe because they'll add characters (if it is where the old rainbow walkway was, I will cry) it might be busier. Otherwise, I don't see the point. We only do the lounges every so often. Last time was to check out when it was in the Odyssey. The time before that? I cannot even remember. If it is busy we just move on.

Curious what the 5 day ticket price will be. Assuming under $99 savings seeing that’s what they are charging to qualify to purchase it.

Probably just as well I can’t see the benefit other than the Lounge access.
Must be a US citizen “of good standing” to upgrade. 🙄
edit: resident, not citizen. Don’t know why yet. The CMs haven’t been given any info, beyond what’s on the web page / email.

This has real potential for my family--I bought points this past year in a new m'ship co-owned by my DS and DDIL--so they are newly eligible for sorcerer's passes (or maybe the five-day ticket might work better, at least for DGS)...but it all depends on actual pricing....will have to look at how much the sorcerer's pass will cost, and the special 5-day ticket pricing, w/this new benefit pgm as compared to how much it costs w/out it--and I can't find that info (maybe it's not available at this point)?
Another open question: the "our points" are pretty much already allocated for the foreseeable future....but I have a bunch of "me" points I could transfer to the "our m-ship" to allow purchase of APs (depending on cost)....need to find out if that would be allowed....all my points ("my" and "our") are direct, so not worried about that....but we do need the 11-month booking window for our planned annual trips to BCV and RR, so I'd have to be able to transfer SSR points to make that work....again, depending on how many points a Sorcerer's Pass will cost....
But I'm intrigued, and I expect DS/DDIL will be, too....

Doesn't it seem odd that you would only get a 30 day memory maker? I guess if you could pick 30 separate days in the year that would work for most non locals. But, if it's a certain 30 day window within the year, most likely that is only one trip. If you get the add on for an AP, it's for the entire year...

In fact a good number on certain groups only go once every year or two. Some longer. But no, you get one allotment - or at least this is how I read it "The Memory Maker Benefit becomes available in the Member’s Disney account on or about the later of the start date of the 2025 Benefit Season or the date of purchase of the Optional Benefit Program. Online registration is required to use the Memory Maker Benefit. Limit of one (1) Memory Maker Benefit per one (1) Member enrolled in the Optional Benefit Program."

After 2026 though not so much and I was going to get into the renting game maybe... depending on pricing I'd consider.

Before it was buying direct -> eligible for perks, and now it's buying direct -> eligible to pay more for for perks. I so expected this. Now they can have their first DVC add on. Get ready for this $99 to not last long. I guess it is such a good selling product they do not need to provide perks any longer. They know they will be bought. Yes, Member sales pay for these lounges. (Not dues from what i remember) And now we can be bumped to waitlist cause of a pay class.
