I finally made it to the Food & Wine Festival for the first time. We were there from Saturday, 10/12/24 to Thursday, 10/17/24. The parks were not very crowded from Saturday to Tuesday. I'm guessing there were many folks who canceled due to the hurricane that closed the parks on part of 10/9 and all of 10/10. Wednesday and Thursday were much more crowded. Here are my thoughts:
1. If it is an uncrowded day, you can do standby for Tron in less than 30 minutes. 2. Guardians is definitely our favorite ride in all the Disney parks (haven't been to Shanghai or Hong Kong). 3. STK happy hour is excellent (thanks, BRP). 4. I still like Harmonious more than Luminous (I know I'm in the minority). 5. I think I liked the old Fantasmic better, but maybe I'm just being nostalgic. 6. We really enjoyed the nighttime Disney ode to animation projection show at HS.
Now for Food & Wine. We had a great time. Most of the food and drinks we had were excellent. Yes, they are all overpriced, but at least they were tasty. My favorite was the fig and balsamic cheesecake. The worst was definitely the raclette in Switzerland. I finally tried the pretzel bread pudding and it lived up to its hype. It seems that the festival is no where near as good as it was in years past. I suppose ignorance is bliss. We loved it and already have a trip planned for next year!

Sounds like a wonderful trip as a whole! I happened to love the pretzel bread pudding too! Definitely something I have to get every time I can.

Third "Love" for the Pretzel Bread pudding!
If you really liked the F&W festival of 2024, you would have been over the moon with the pre-covid F&W Festivals.

It sounds like a nice break with lower crowds. Standby TRON less than 30 minutes = fab.
We, too, enjoy the F&W event. Yes, it has changed but the parts eliminated I wouldn't be able to get DH to attend anyway so it's all good. Years past I could say we need to experience this but the one negative of being DVC is DH doesn't have any urgency to experience any thing so my ways to encourage the experience have mostly dried up. LOL
Glad you had a good time.

I also hated the raclette, and I usually love any kind of cheese, even stinky cheese, but that was awful. I actually threw it away, that and the mango creme brulee from France, and creme brulee is one of my favorite desserts, but that was awful. so many other yummy food items made up for those. Guardians is fabulous!! Even if it makes me queasy. Thanks for sharing the TR and the fun!!

Their mistake is putting the cheese on ahead of time and sticking under a heat lamp. It would be better if they drizzled on the melted cheese only when the order comes through.

Couldn’t agree more about the raclette. Worse was the ham, was expecting thinly sliced game. It looked like something out of a lunchable. Tried and done, didn’t finish it.

First, you are most welcome baymaxfan. We do the STK Happy Hour every trip, and definitely happy to share the "secret."
As for Guardians- I'm glad so many people like it. It was one and done for me as it made me feel more queasy than I like. But, with all you folks flocking there, we can get on Soarin' and TT (when it's open).
Cheers.

I greatly enjoy my cheeses, but definitely cannot do the Alps booth in the heat.
