We are looking to rent out some of our points that we will not have an opportunity to use this year. We had some left over points that we rented through David's previously, but have not gotten much response this time.
Did anyone have other recommendations?

I have personally used DVC Rental Store. They can direct deposit your rental fee right into your bank account, or send you a check. Otherwise, I rent my own points.

There is a Facebook group that I have used that gets a fair amount of activity. It's called DVC Disney Vacation Club Points Rental. Beware though, the administrator is a stickler for the rules so read them first.

You usually get more than what the companies will pay you, but the renter will pay less. The rental companies also file 1099s so that's a plus too I borrowed a contract that was posted on the old board.

We used David's for some points last year, and didn't have a problem. We tried to use David's for some points the year prior, and they didn't go.
Either way, I'd say that David's was a great process - their team was very helpful and friendly.

I builds trust. The one issue I have with that board is that people tend to go there and look at the last minute. Many times they are looking for a reservation within the next 3 weeks. I don't have the intestinal fortitude to hold onto a reservation past the 31 day cancellation window. I have some extra points that were banked/borrowed into this UY that I'm not going to use so I have been trying to rent them out. I rented one BWV weekend in May but struck out on a weekend at RIV in a Tower (no interest at all) and a Marathon weekend (although I saw many requests after I cancelled).

I've used DVC Rental Store in the past and they were easy to work with. I currently have some points with them but haven't been able to rent them out yet.

Last year I used DVC Rental Store, and it was quick and easy. This year, I've had 3 July listings posted for over a month and no bites yet. Seems like revenge travel might be coming to an end.

When I'm not able to rent via our site/list or the rental group a1000monkeys recommended - I use DVC Rental Store as well

Renting is definitely a challenge right now. The glut of people with points for “rent” rivals those with points for “ sale”. I think one trick to try is capturing coveted travel days and booking a spec rental. Then try and rent the reservation.

I would stay away from that fb group, with the stickler for an admin.. in addition to the admin…. the majority of requests received were for last minute request at resorts that sell out prior to 7 months

Have always rented on my own. Just a reminder this forum has a rent/trade board so that may be another option.

I would stay away from that fb group, with the stickler for an admin.. in addition to the admin…. the majority of requests received were for last minute request at resorts that sell out prior to 7 months I wont use it anymore either. It has gotten out of control. And as a result the rules and sticklerness to them has gone too far. And it is the little things. Bump one a day...I bumped most every morning. One morning it was 26hrs, then 23hrs. Bzzzt. I respond to an OP about something. Then not the OP asks me something about availability. I respond with a succinct "no" bzzzzt. Rules violation for encouraging spamming or something. It just isn't cordial anymore. Then most everyone is looking for 3-4 night in the next six weeks. The only way to get it to work is with spec reservations and hope it works. I too have a bunch of points I need to figure out a plan.

I believe this year (so for filings in 2024) PayPal, venmo, etc. Are reporting any aggregate income over like $600 to the IRS. Then the taxpayer would have to itemize $9 for reimbursement for coffee $400 for splitting rent, etc. In this case tough to itemize dvc income.
