$90 a point, I feel like I could add on to my OKW and be happy with it. Was $90 the listing price? Absolutely the time to go below asking price. Back in 2010-2011, I purchased quite the bargains. There is such a glut of inventory, the Brokers almost have to present lowball offers. I know this is old, but someone had posted a link to an $80/pp SSR contract 250 pts. I can’t find it now but I clicked through from here to the listing and it is still listed. Total bait and switch. I reached out and made an offer but was definitely willing to pay full price. Broker came back and said I needed to offer $99pp or Disney would ROFR it. If the seller wants $80pp, doesn’t matter if Disney takes it or if it passes. Shady. Told the broker I’ll pass (just on principle).

And, yes, I agree with your point. Seller should not care.
Cheers.

My husband is looking for another 100 to 150 points (SSR) on top of our BWV and SSR points, and then he thinks we should have enough. We are burning through our points quickly taking the kids and grandkids. I suspect he'll end up with those points and then decide we still need more. There are a lot of other places I want to travel so not sure I want all my "travel funds" tied up with dues.

LOL. Its an illness. I have noticed inventories are higher and prices are lower for sure. Good time to buy.

We bought two contracts in 2008 (BCV and BWV) and were done. Then we decided we really like BWV BW view 1BR units, and 100 points was a bit scant. So we added on 25 points direct to supplement. Currently see no need to add any more. This gives us 2 trips of 4-6 nights/year and that's all we need.
Cheers.

Remember when a small 50 point contract would be gone immediately?

Yes, I’ve had my BLT listed for two months. Originally when I listed, the site recommended $146 (all my 2023 points are used and I have a trip planned in Sept so can’t close until after that). I just went online to see what kind of competition changed and the site is now recommending I lower it to $128. Not going to as these things go in waves and when it sells, it sells. But definitely in the buyers mode right now.

Wow that’s bad for BLT … I added on to my BLT direct in 2018 with 55 points for $155 and was considering selling but that is terrible news for DVC .

What is the smallest number of points on a contract that you can buy direct at this point? I haven't looked at resale prices lately, but might look around. Nothing will top recession prices. We picked up an extended OKW contract for $70 per point.

Hello everyone, Does anyone know how to sell and/or buy without using a broker. I was told it is possible. If so, I need to sell some of my SSR points. I currently have Vero beach, and 2 SSR if anyone is interested. I am a DVC fanatic and love my Disney but college tuition is a major hurt right now.

I can definitely verify that there are some shady brokers out there plus Disney hasn't taken back ANY contracts in about 6 months!

I offered $90 on another contract with a well-known broker and it was accepted, so the process begins…..

Hiya!!! Hope you’ve been well! Seller would probably be annoyed if they are unloading for financial reasons…. Don’t think they even knew someone wanted to buy.
