Hi folks,
I didn't see a thread on the 2025 Festival of the Arts yet. If there is one, please merge me into it (thanks)!
I've been to this festival once before and really enjoyed it. This upcoming Jan. I'll be visiting with my mother, and I know she will especially love the Disney on Broadway show. We'll only have one day in EPCOT, so I want to make the most of it for her. As I try to plan (it's getting close!), I have questions as outlined below. I'm looking for anyone's input based on previous years and ofc I will watch the WDW website for official announcements.
1) When does WDW usually announce which nights they will have the Disney on Broadway show? 2) Do the dining packages become available as soon as they announce the schedule? If not, about when do those open up? 3) I believe they usually do a couple of shows a night (yes?); is it the same show repeated, or would we see something new if we went to more than one in the same evening?
Any particular tips/tricks/don't-miss advice that I should know about visiting FotArts with an 80-yo in a scooter?
Thanks!!

Following along here since we'll be there early Feb. We'll end up booking one of the shows. It's always a good time at the FOTA!

They announced the 2023 performances at the end of November 2022. Dining packages became available around 2 weeks after the announcement. Yes, 3 shows nightly and most likely the same. The performers do multiple dates and all shows for their run will most likely be the same.
In previous years, they have done a grand finale which included both sets of performers for that weeks performances.

Hmmm, so it sounds like they won't announce the schedule until after my ADR window opens, so I'll have to think about whether/how I book dining to be sure to have availability for one of the show nights. Good to know about all the shows likely being the same sets. I'll leave it up to Mom to decide if she wants to see the same twice in one evening (every show is a little different, ofc).

I'm so glad that someone mentioned the Disney on Broadway shows. I look forward to them every year. My favorite festival used to be the Food and Wine, but not since they took away the seminars and wine tastings. Now my favorite by far is FofTARTS

We love the DOB shows and go to several every year. We can typically find good seats without using the dinning package option.

We will be going to the Festival of the Arts again this year. This Festival has become my favorite the past few years. Its a short festival but has the most distinct personality of the other festivals.

We love the Festival of the Arts. Flower & Garden is my favorite and this one is next.
We'll be there the 1st week in February. I hope they have some festival merchandise left. Last year there wasn't much left when we went. I really wanted the Figment hat and mug.
We've never purchased the dining package to watch the Disney on Broadway show and we have always gotten seats.
The paint the mural is fun. It's cool to watch it's progress to completion.

Thanks for the comments above that it doesn't seem necessary to book a dining package to still get good seats. I'll think about it! I think my mom would also really enjoy the music at Biergarten and so I was planning to take her there. Figured I might as well do the package if it reduces stress and time waiting in line. But, I'll check prices first and mull it over, as it doesn't seem necessary. Thanks for the feedback on that!

Love seeing the Disney on Broadway concerts. Agreed that dining package generally isn’t necessary, but if you want to make it easier why not.

DH is taking another solo trip in Feb, primarily for Festival of the Arts. he loved it last year. He booked it hoping his parents might be able to join, but they're not sure....i might have to sneak away for a day or two and check it out. It's the only festival I"ve not gotten to experience.

This is who I am getting.....Not sure if I will see a show. If I do, I will either grab a seat in the back or be back by the beer/turkey leg booth.

I’d prefer ladies (as always), but still always worth seeing at least one performance.
