The obvious answer is "Thu-Mon" Um, no. It will likely be a solo trip, meeting some of my friends there. So, really don’t want to be away from hubs for that long. Or…he will decide that work can do without him and he will be with me, in which case I will need to get him back home to limit missed days. And since he and I are going back in November, it doesn’t have to be a long trip. Just wanna wake up on my birthday and be in my happy place… When you meet friends it hardly means it is a solo solo trip  I can tell that weekend we have a home game Friday which is a bummer to me. Harder to miss for me, but I can make ti work either way. |

Not so much at BCV. We have a stay in May and I looked at maybe adding a day. Nothing at all for several months.  Cheers. Waitlist it! Single nights are easier to get than multiples. Good luck! BCV even right at 7 months can be a unicorn. I waitlisted my day and it came through. |

I have our November trip nailed down. But I’m still deciding on my birthday weekend. Thursday-Sunday, or Friday-Monday? Decisions, decisions… When are you going in November? We're there 8-13. The obvious answer is "Thu-Mon" The beauty of being retired by then is that Mon-Fri is also an acceptable answer

We had 2 of them, and added in 4-H and the county/state fair circuits. I remember those hectic years fondly. Several years we were unable to travel at all in the Fall. Enjoy it while it lasts! |

October is actually easier. November still has football and the HS musical. Ugh. We had 2 of them, and added in 4-H and the county/state fair circuits. I remember those hectic years fondly. Several years we were unable to travel at all in the Fall. Enjoy it while it lasts! If we had been able to have more I'm unsure what we'd do. At least this coming fall I will not be doing the middle school fall musical in addition to helping with the HS one in late fall/winter as that is burning me out. Kid plans to help with fall pro again as a HS helper but might only offer 2 nights vs 3 as he had no nights off starting Aug. He'll be driving this summer too (old car likely settled on for muuuuch less than I expected) so next winter as long as the roads are clear he can drive himself. I enjoy it! I'm pretty sure I can sneak out of that Friday home game. Easier than playoffs in November. Guys are camping out that weekend too for scouts so it's not a bad time to leave for me. I can get the last flight out or super early too. I'll look when flights are released. |
