I was very surprised today to find many options for studios for July at the end of the month. I had my choice of BLT, OKW, AKL Kidani and Jumbo, Polynesian, VGF Resort, Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek. I studios are the first to go. I also know end of July is very, very hot, but it is an option for those that can only go in the summer. Are bookings just getting easier to get?

Maybe the 'I gotta vacation' post COVID rush is disappearing. WDW must have notice something as they are back to offering room discounts.

Living here I now book the majority of my trips a couple days to a week prior. One never knows what may appear at any given moment.
Regardless, I wouldn’t read too much into it, we have no way of knowing quantities of rooms available.

Truthfully, I hope WDW is feeling the pinch. I don't know if it's a symptom of aging but paying $638/n for a hotel room seems high to me and that's what I paid last March when I accidentally cancelled my BIL's pre-cruise hotel stay. We paid $501/n to stay at the Swan in October. So it could be that the new rates are what they are but Gee Whillikers!

I hope honestly DDP doesn't return and they focus on better food. The dining card is what they are giving our kids for the band trip in March. $20 a day Summer is easier to book IMO anyway. I think with the revenge vacationing coming to an end and the complexity of WDW planning, more are being turned off on Disney. Too hard and too expensive for how hard it is.

Not so much at BCV. We have a stay in May and I looked at maybe adding a day. Nothing at all for several months. Cheers.

True, but I'd need to change flight now for best price and not willing to take that chance. The trip we have is fine as is. Just interesting to see this.
Cheers.

I have our November trip nailed down. But I’m still deciding on my birthday weekend. Thursday-Sunday, or Friday-Monday? Decisions, decisions…

Thursday-Sunday, or Friday-Monday? Decisions, decisions… The obvious answer is "Thu-Mon" Um, no. It will likely be a solo trip, meeting some of my friends there. So, really don’t want to be away from hubs for that long. Or…he will decide that work can do without him and he will be with me, in which case I will need to get him back home to limit missed days. And since he and I are going back in November, it doesn’t have to be a long trip. Just wanna wake up on my birthday and be in my happy place…

There are studios for our weekend in July. I been trying to decide but you’ve convinced me—- I, too, “want to wake up on my birthday and be in my happy place”. My granddaughter and family will also go because she shares my birthday!!! No place we’d rather celebrate. We are also going in November.

Well one of my bestest Disney pals decided to go for her BDay, and so inspired me. And now I’ve nudged you. Just proves what a bad influence we all are on one another!

Cheers.
