We’ve never stayed in a grand villa and we’re looking at trying to book one for mid to late October in 2024. Is there ever any Animal Kingdom or Old Key West grand villas available at 7 months out at that time of year? Thanks!

Old Key West GVs are actually very difficult to book. They are super low points and owners book them fast. I've only been able to book GVs at 10-11 months out. Haven't tried AKL.

We stayed in a GV at SSR last September and enjoyed it very much. We were in the Paddock near the Congress Park bus stop. Walkable to Disney Springs and the main area. If you are open to SSR I recommend it. There are more available there - maybe something to consider.

With our points we could also swing a grand villa at the Boardwalk. Really hoping we can get one! This is the first time we’ve been able to bank and borrow. Have always only borrowed before. Just went in October and we’re going back in March and June this year. Seems like a good time to pump the brakes. Flight prices are insane!

Ooh, I can't wait to find out why they book up so fast. Next month we're staying in a GV at OKW, fulfilling a dream of mine (I've wanted to for the 21 years we've been members) to stay in a GV. I guess you could say that it's the one good thing about the pandemic for us-due to fewer trips over the last few years meant that we had the points to get a GV for 7 people this year. |

We were fortunate enough to get a Grand Villa at both SSR and BLT about 9 years ago in the same trip. Gave our guests (my Dad and and stepmom) a chance to enjoy the trip in luxury and spend some time with my kids. My dad talked about how much he enjoyed the trip up until his passing in 2019 at 91.
