So, if you have a friend that may want to purchase a reservation you have booked, what do you think is currently a reasonable amount to charge per point? Riviera is the resort by the way, if that makes a difference.
They want to go at a time that there are no studios available for the resort they want and I have a confirmed reservation for that time frame. I can book myself a room at another resort and let them have the one I have reserved at the Riviera.
I just want to be reasonable and fair to both parties involved. I know a lot of people say never charge a friend, but I am not interested in hearing about that.

I would rent them at $18/pt. That is a reasonable rate especially when brokers will charge them $20+.

For me it would depend on how good a friend and what you would otherwise do with the points.
I would start with the cost of the maintenance fees to cover them, maybe round it up to $10 a point.
But if you want to make more than that, what about the amount you would get if you rented them out through a broker? That way, they are paying less than they would have to pay the broker, and you get the same as you would.

You may want to go somewhere in between your cost and what you would get from a broker so like $15-$16 a point if you would get $18 from the broker.

Just depends how much of a discount you want to give.

I would start with the cost of the maintenance fees to cover them, maybe round it up to $10 a point. This is how I roll for "taking family with" on trips. A few years back we took people to OKW and got like three extra studios and I only charged them like $450 for a week, or something, what a deal. But that's "taking family with" and this is a little different.

But that's "taking family with" and this is a little different. My eldest son and a friend are staying for a week after a cruise later this year. Originally they were going to stay at AoA on a deal with around $200 in Dining credit. I offered them points for a BCV studio (on a waitlist which came through) for roughly the same as they were paying for AoA. I think it just about covers the dues on those points. They won’t get the dining credit but they’re delighted to be walking distance from both Epcot and DHS. I gifted them a 2 night stay at GFV last Fall, but wanted to get something for these points. Seemed like a good compromise.

For me it kind of depends on who and why. I think $13-15 is more than reasonable but I don't think people are wrong to ask for more as well. Dues at some resorts are nearly $10 in some cases so asking for that wouldn't even cover costs - just dues. I tend to gift some and ask for dinners instead lol. My dad is joining for 2 nights. As a weird compromise I gifted him 12 points and had him pay for 24 OTUP for his stay in his own room. Made his average cost closer to $12-13/point or $228 a night. Win win for him and I wasn't borrowing for his trip.

$12-$15 depending on level of friendship. I also do have BCV and BLT point which I usually charge on the higher side and some SSR points that I sometimes charge a little less.
