Tornadoes in the area last night. Crazy. NWS is investigating to see if one touched down in my town, about a mile from my house. Lots of helicopters in the air today, either news or surveying the damage. It was pretty intense. It got super dark, and it sounded like there was a fleet or 18 wheelers going through the sky.
My immediate neighborhood was untouched. Heavy winds but I don't see any trees or utility poles down. Less than a mile away there are multiple trees, poles and power lines down.
It's surreal when you're watching the news because of the tornado warnings and they're showing "rotation" on the map and it's in your town.

I think the Florida heat is here to stay now. We shall see.
It seems we may have a baby gator in one of our ponds. Hopefully they find it soon.

I’m “up north” in LeRoy doing a remodel for friends.
There is a beautiful sunrise on one side of the house and it’s reflecting off the tree tops on the far side of the frozen lake on the front of the house….

We live in Denver and the winds were CRAZY last thursday/friday. Makes sense that as weather moved eastward that they caused a on of Tornadoes. Terrifying. Glad you're okay. |

Drove an hour to a different office only to have the electricity go out because of a storm and then spent time in the hallway while the tornado sirens were going off. Left back for my office as soon as a window opened of the storms calming down along the highway I drive on. Was a non-productive day!

Weather - ugh! We finally got the house re-roofed and re-sided form '21 hail storm and in comes more hail. Freaking insurance companies. We and the insurance sales obviously have no idea what 'replacement value' means because according to the adjusters it doesn't mean we get matching replacements unless we want to pay some portion out-of-pocket.

Well I had my frozen Taco Bell for breakfast, and my Mtn Dew, then some coffee...now I think I want Mountain Dew again. Yum
Just between us, it's "Diet Mountain Lightning" which is the walmart version of Dew.
Then I have to try to pry myself out of this chair. I suppose when I get up to get that Dew I was referencing, I could just not sit back down.

A of B Ha ha   When you hear the screams  we looked into the members cruise for 2024 but it’s actually a Members Exclusive Voyage to lighthouse point ….. meaning unlike regular member cruise where you can just use all cash and save your points for WDW, You have to use one person with points, So we decided not to go. Made me think of that little ditty for the 2-hour comedy block on ABC many years ago. Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Mr. Belvedere, etc. And now Saturday! Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Mr. Belvedere, etc. Somewhere I have a signed autograph of the man who played Mr Belvedere on one of those little notepads from a hotel. We were in Washington, D.C., I was a young child and my mom saw him standing somewhere and she was the type of person to have the little notepad from the hotel we were staying at in her purse, undoubtedly with the matching pen, and sent me over there to get his autograph. She was never afraid to do stuff like that; I have a photo of her circa late '90s standing next to Ice-T...made even more hilarious by the fact that she's 4'11" or 5'0" on a good day. (I thought I had it on my computer but it's only a real, actual photo...remember those?) |
