For those wonderful, Jackass Zach remains a jackass. They say he left the game with a head injury. I say he’s always injured in the head…
Sorry about your Chargers, Amy and Mike.

Semester is done for my kid. Ended with nearly a dozen friends running around our house. Waiting only on one final grade yet for the semester and we'll relax totally.

It's an eff-ing Christmas Miracle!!! The miracle is that the cabinets are in. 98%; I spec'ed a pullout cutting board and he misplaced the brackets (not surprising at this point knowing him) and that will happen after the holidays. My wife would say that miracle is that straight ahead used to be an exterior door I removed and filled in; you can't even tell...she would also say the miracle is that on the right in the back used to be stairs which I moved and to be honest, you can't even tell and I forget they used to be that way. Also under the ramboard is honest-to-goodness 1950's-style skinny hardwood floor which wasn't there before, but I can't take credit for that because we outsourced the floor. She'd also say the miracle is the fluorescent light I made go away and the horrible ceiling exhaust fan Now I just have to tile the wall on the right, cut in the lights in the ceiling, install the dishwasher same as it used to be, put in a gas line for the stove, install some shelves in the empty spot on the left and THEN we can have the stove and refrigerator moved in from my garage. I started 1/08/22 so we won't quite make the one year mark. (Side note: I meant to start 1/01/22 but I had car trouble to take care of) Not my fault, though The cabinet guy...has been our holdup, to put it politely. The joke between my wife and I is that I probably could have built the cabinets faster than waiting for him. I have a woodworking hobby sort-of. And I was a professional painter in a factory - which made watching him re-spray his less-than stellar work (when I called him out on it) particularly painful to watch. My advice for him would be "Take your time, be careful, keep track of your stuff, and do things right the first time - and maybe don't try to do 15 jobs at one time - it will go faster for you"

We did our cabinets a number of years ago. Fortunately no issues but none were really custom done. Even when it goes right it is still a pain

My wife would say that miracle is that straight ahead used to be an exterior door I removed and filled in; you can't even tell... I have done, and continue to do) a lot of fix-it and construction projects on the house. Retirement allows time for that
One thing that is not my forte (mainly haven't done it much and don't have the technique down) is wallboard and making things seamless.
Yours looks great....mine would not
Cheers.

Have there been any announcements/updates to being able to make advanced ride reservations using Genie + (old fast pass system)?

One thing that is not my forte (mainly haven't done it much and don't have the technique down) is wallboard and making things seamless. The funny thing is, now that I've gotten good at it I probably won't do it for a few more years - by which time I will have forgotten most that I know. Oh well. I would not want to go into a career of doing drywall, that's for sure. My body couldn't take that. Also, doing it in my own house means I can take as much time as I need to get it perfect.

Also, great choice with Cambria!!! Yeah, I could tell as soon as the guy laid the first little square that we made the right choice. We got a matte finish one so it has more of a marble look. But I couldn't stain the sample when I put all my stain-y kitchen foods on it. And I really had to work at it with a screwdriver to get it to scratch. Plus it's kinda cool that it's made local here in MN about two hours away.

What will go in the area the picture is taken - seating area? BTW, your wife is a saint if you've been doing this since January 2022.

Now I have it in my home and I’ve installed it in dozens of homes.
