I have a couple things to say in reply to posts upthread:
1) Thank you to the mods for creating this. I will miss MO, but I mainly used it to read Trip Reports. May be more active here.
2) To the owner wondering about PVB: do it. It's a short walk to the monorail then Epcot, and you never know how you feel about something new until you try it. Poly is our Happy Place - we bought our home because of a room with its color scheme - and while back door access to WS during F/W is great, it sounds like you will still have it for part of the trip. Give it a shot (and request Moorea)!

It’s use year. We have multiple contracts in the same use year so we only get 24 one time points, but if it’s multiple use years the game changes. Only stated that they had multiple resorts I think? So if I have multiple UY contracts under one membership ID, I can purchase 24 one time points per UY? And if the reservation was made at 7 months with home and non home resort points, one could theoretically get 24 pts x UY within the same reservation? The catch is you have to book them through DVC. Home resort priority cannot be used. But if these are all non-home resort then maybe. You'd have to call and see. They may not say yes but I have no idea.

Well said, it is confusing. It is a call for sure.

How does waitlist work? and when are they closed out, dropped off, when nothing is available? Scenario: we are only halfheartedly contemplating a trip for spring break. nothing booked except 2 nights at Universal,, and recent searches for DVC show 1 night at SSR (every once in a while 2 nights.) If we put in a wait list on 1 or 2 other nights, when is the latest we'd know if it comes through or doesn't? Like this is for the week of Mar 12. Not sure I'm asking this the right way, we've never done a waitlist, so not sure how it all works We'll probably just wait until May/June, when we have more options, but need to know about waitlist for that too. Thanks!!

The amount of one time use points from Disney is 24 points at $19/pt ( not sure if they raised that price or not.) You could rent from another owner then ask if you could stay in your current room for the rented reservation. No guarantees but I have read where Aulani is really accommodating. Thanks for the clarification, I don't know where I got the incorrect 15 number from? When "renting from another member", that would only be for a complete night stay, correct?

Can you use your CCV points? You don’t mention them so perhaps you already have something booked or planned for them already though. I could, but don't want to. We're trying to use some for NSSHP this year, and I want to make sure we have enough for our "normal trip" the year after we go to HI.

From my understanding the H2O products are gone from the resorts. Anyone that's been lately notice what is now being used as toiletries in the villas? Just curious

Just curious I was at SSR, AKV and VGF last week. All still had H2O. Large bottles in shower, lotion and bar soap at sink (aloe and mouthwash at VGF).

Just curious They are to run through the first half of 2023 per H2O. Likely won't see a change until after. I hope whomever they choose will finally be SLS free so they don't fry my hair.

Does anyone know the current time the parking lots open before park opening?
We have an 8:30 am Tusker House breakfast and the park has early entry at 8:30 am.
We are wanting to avoid taking a bus.

I see I'm going to need an avatar, that little space dude is weird to look at. I never had one before, so I am at a loss...I will think of something I suppose. I could do the Taco Bell logo...yum Our local Taco Bell franchise closed due to COVID. I miss my 7 layer burrito.

Can DVC reservations be made day of,/same day? or like 1 day in advance? Anyone ever done that kind of last minute planning? Not that I think anything will be available, but wasn't sure if that was ever a possibility?

Not that I think anything will be available, but wasn't sure if that was ever a possibility? Online I often do day prior. Can't do day of online, not sure about via calling in. There are several Fridays where I'll check randomly throughout the day and grab a room for Saturday night. In fact just did that this past weekend for Boardwalk. Old Key West 1-bedroom was showing up every once in a while throughout the day but I didn't want to waste the points for only me on a one-night stay where I wouldn't be in the room much. At around 11:00 p.m., a Boardwalk studio showed available. I said that'll work, snagged it, and the deed was done.

I have called on the day of to see what they have. Once I was sitting in the room at SSR, called MS for that night and didn’t even have to change rooms. Worth the effort to call.
