Maryland legalized recreational weed this past summer. Now, you can't go anyplace without smelling "skunk" weed. Its terrible. Our company has designed a few grow facilitates, processing facilities and probably around 60% of the retail facilities in Maryland. They all stink to me. When we are in their facilities, it takes a day for the smell to get out of my nose. I will say, that the weed growers of today are nothing like the weed growers of my youth. Very high tech with so much science and technology going in those facilities. So question, why does so much of what I smell, smell so horrible like skunk. Unless they are just buying cheap stuff from corner dealers. Which would seem stupid if you can go into a store and buy it and know where it’s coming from and what’s in it. All the weed smells skunky to me.....the cheap stuff and the high grade stuff. The smell gives me a headache after 5 minutes, when we are working in a facility. Same for hemp.

Not in the grow facilities. As you know, that's not how it works.
I don't smoke...anything. Other than prescriptions, I don't partake in any drug except for alcohol.

Yeah, but there's someone burnin' a fatty in a side room somewhere.
I don't either. Earlier in life (I did work at rock concerts for about 20 years), I did try it occasionally. Even then, half a dozen times or less. But it was ever-present and I became (and still am) very used to having it around., Before it was legalized in so many places, it was the smell of freedom from legislative stupidity, Now, it's just a familiar, friendly and pleasant (to me) smell.
But, yeah, to many, even weed is "Drugs" with a capital 'D'.
To each their own.
Cheers.

Marijuana is not like an opioid and does have useful medical and health benefits. I have always been a fitness guy, or at least more so when I was younger. I always placed a high value of trying to maintain a clean body and a clear mind. That why even with drinking I don't Sunday thru Thursday so I sharp for work.

Marijuana is not like an opioid and does have useful medical and health benefits. Definitely on the first part. Interesting assertion on the second part, one with a wealth of contrary evidence that we're not going to debate here.
You go with what works for ya on which data you choose to believe. We'll let the cancer and glaucoma patients go with theirs.
Cheers.

I honestly don’t think I would know it if I smelt it. It’s illegal over here - possession, growing it, selling it, anything. Even for medicinal use.
I know it’s legal in Florida, do Disney allow it on property? I’m wondering now if I’m likely to have come across it whilst in Florida, or DC perhaps. I guess it’s entirely possible and I never knew!

Having come of age in California in the 70s yup I have tried it but that was about it, now we're into wine but I think the grass would be cheaper... I remember going to a Who concert at the LA forum and there was such a "fog" in the arena there was no way you got out of there without trying it unless you had a O2 tank with you.
My wife was in a bike accident while she was at college which affected her sense of smell, she can smell cigarettes and other type of smoke but for some reason she can't smell weed.

Because I can’t stay in my own lane… The way I read Tom’s reply, he was saying that it DOES have useful medical and health benefits. I don’t think that part was in regards to opioids. But maybe I read it wrong. Anyway… back to my lane…

60s section? Rumored to be one of the reasons the sky buckets were always closed during grad night at Disneyland and maybe one of the reasons they left for good. What happened in the sky buckets stayed in the sky buckets…..
