I am wondering if anyone has a Blend Jet 2 or other portable blender that you might keep in your Owners Locker or take with you to Disney. I was considering a Blend jet 2 and then read some reviews from America's Test Kitchen that it wasn't easy to clean, A breakfast smoothie in the morning while getting ready would be a quick and inexpensive option to get breakfast out of the way. Now that I am staying in studios more than one or two bedrooms, I am trying to stock my Owners Lockers with items that will be easy to use.
So, does anyone have a portable blender that you really recommend that would be great for trips to Disney?

I was hopping that you were wondering how well it makes margaritas....
I don't know much about the Blend Jet but I make a lot of smoothies (in a vita mix), I would be more concerned if it ground up the ingredients, especially spinach if being used, than cleaning. If you clean immediately I can't imagine any blender that wouldn't be easily cleaned by add a drop or two of soap and some hot water into the jar and buzzing up at high speed, then rinse a few times the same way.

I have a blend jet 2. I have the red and black Mickey one… it’s super cute. The jar it comes with is super small. I doubt it will pulverize spinach. It does OK with my protein smoothie (powder, milk, 1banana, 4 ice cubes), but not great. I do plan to bring it with to Disney. It cleans up really well. There’s been no problems. Rinse it out right away and blend with the drop of soap. Super easy. You can take it apart to do a deep clean if necessary. Making one smoothie and then cleaning it uses up more than half the charge. It’s possible if you made 2 w/o cleaning in between your have enough charge. There’s a reason they suggest everyone get their own! If you like thick smoothies, you will probably stress have problems. The mechanism will get blocked easily and it will stop. I’m probably getting a vitamix soon.

Nothing you said discouraged me from purchasing--this will go in my Owneres Locker II have a BlendTec that I can use at home. Since I will be making smoothies for just me, I can leave it being charged when not in use.
So, DrMinnie, do you have a recommended protein powder?

Our friends took theirs on our trip to Vero Beach last year. They made margaritas by the pool every day . Can't help with the cleaning process - and probably not as dirt? as making smoothies. Hope you like it and it works well for your smoothies.

I got my Mickey Blendjet2 today and it is truly one of the cutest things I have ever seen. If it works as well as it is cute, I will be super happy.

Haha I tried i have finally found a tolerable protein powder. Naked protein, it’s really not sweet (my spouse was not impressed) but I can’t stand the sugary ones. It doesn’t bother my digestive system so far either. They sell it in the largest containers ever though… I like the chocolate.

Ooh, I like my smoothies/protein drinks sweet, so I might have to search for something else.
