This is being talked about on Facebook. What do you think? The sales numbers do add up to the rumored $227/pt. So will VDH be a part of Aulani Association or will it be part of VGC? Maybe extend VGC by a couple of years? Is that even possible?

This means your getting 40 years instead of 50 years. It will not be part of Aulani or Grand Californian. Just paying more and getting less. There betting this will be a hot seller. It will probably fall under the Riviera rules for resale. Other properties in the past have had 40yr expiration dates. Point chart will be a killer. There not giving this one away. It will probably pay for itself and Riviera.

I don’t think that is the end date. The blurb says it could end as early as then - isn’t that the end date for Aulani?
We’ll have to wait to know for sure.

I don’t think this one will have any trouble selling out no matter what they do. I’m happy with my VGC points and have no plans to add on here. It isn’t a fit for us because we already own VGC. Would I consider it if I didn’t? Hard to say. I don’t judge anyone who buys any of them. I bought Riviera direct, and we haven’t regretted it at all despite all the backlash it got when it debuted.

This is a really hard one for us. While we never go to Disneyland, my son frequents CA often ( they lived there for 10 yrs before a job move last year). To pass down to him would be the only reason we would buy. We missed out on VGC but that was at $89/pt, not a predicted $227/pt.

I know DVC members can book these on March 15th with cash. What is the projected opening date? Was that announced?

If I didn’t own VGC, there’s a definite possibility that I’d be tempted.

I wouldn’t read anything into that. Aulani is for sale if someone called today, so that is the end date listed. We shall see once they announce sales of the new resort, I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to milk the cost option for a while first…
