My rep called me a few weeks back (never had a call from them before). I was annoyed and told them I'm not interested until they start selling APs again and give DVCers some more perks.

My rep insists that my file is marked "do not call". Even when I was in the process of buying some points direct, he would email me and ask me to call him. Of course when I look, it says "ok to call" on my profile.

AK 150 pts minus $19 plus they will buy last year's points back from me at $22 a point making it $169.
200 points has a $45 discount plus the $22 for last year's points makes it $143 a point.
Oh and I did ask when AP sales were coming back. No idea.

I don't get why they are selling AKV direct at a discount? This resort sold out years ago - did they somehow end up with a glut of AKV points? Also, why buy back last years points? Was there an option to bank those and use them this year? Although, $22 pp is a nice deal...

Yes you can take the points and bank them. Just something to make it look more appealing. They bought back a huge amount of points and are stuck trying cash rentals or discounting to get rid of them before the economy crashes. There betting a crash. If wrong they just buy more back and still keep making money on the turnover.
