Doing online check-in yesterday, I noticed that they have removed all of the arrival times up to 3 PM, and replaced them with "before 3 PM." I'm guessing this was in response to too many people complaining about choosing an early arrival time and not getting their room until later in the day.

Hmmm. Tried to do online check-in earlier today for next month and it wouldn’t let me get that far. We usually say we’ll be arriving around 2 pm. Before 3 should work.
Managed to do online check-in for BCV. It says before 4pm.

I have always hit the early check in and at BCV and VGF my check in time has always been way past four - BCV usually around 6, VGF the worst was 8 pm at night. My mother was still alive and it was very difficult for her to not have a room, so I double booked BC with GF. Good thing as I know she could not go that long without a room to lay down in.

I have always hit the early check in and at BCV and VGF my check in time has always been way past four - BCV usually around 6, VGF the worst was 8 pm at night. My mother was still alive and it was very difficult for her to not have a room, so I double booked BC with GF. Good thing as I know she could not go that long without a room to lay down in. Our last trip to CCV, our arrival time got delayed due to delayed air flight and the new Sunshine Flyer transportation taking 2 1/2 hrs getting us to CCV from the airport going to every resort before CCV. Did online check in and we never got a room ready text. CM at front desk couldn’t find our room…because we were never assigned one! At 7:30p! Well he said he would give us pixie dust. I got all excited to see that it was just a regular studio on 1st floor ( was hoping for that Jr suite room). I guess he just said that so I wouldn’t complain. But if you’re going to give some pixie dust, can a sister get some pixie dust! Jeez…..  |

I was there March 9-15th. We had two reservations split up over our 6 nights. The first on the 9th did not have the check in after 4pm. The second I missed looking at but a weird glitch removed my credit card. I had a message saying to update my check in online and I forgot as I was in Pirates when I saw it. When I came home on the 16th I think it was I looked for my May/June trip and it had changed.

We normally check-in about 1:00PM, but when I did online check-in recently the only early option was before 4:00PM at BRV.
I really never placed to much emphasis on our room being ready. If it wasn't we would just head to the parks and be notified when it was ready.
Over the years our room has been ready anywhere from 11AM to 3PM.

There should've been an option to take the first availability. If you make room requests in the online check-in, you can choose to prioritize "room ready" over your location requests. It looks like it's now "before 4 PM" for DVC and "before 3 PM" for WDW resort rooms. Our BWV room in August shows "before 4:00" as the earliest option. My May 31 check in date has midnight still but I set it up months ago with 8am arrival. My reservation I just linked to my account has the before 4pm. |
