Since this forum is called "News and Rumors" I figured it was the perfect place.
The news feed on my phone has decided that I want to read all the juicy WDW gossip and so it is showing me stuff from sites that have been getting more and more "click bait-y" as time goes on.
I had to laugh when I saw one a couple days ago; it showed a picture of Spaceship Earth and the title was basically this: "Popular attraction to begin demolition and never return"
So I said, oh yeah? And fell for the click bait. Turned out to be the Harmonious barges.
I'm laughing about it right now!

I know, I totally agree. What is even more irritating is the need for every Disney blogger to put an April Fool's blog out there. Only media group I know that tries to outdo the other bloggers in the absurd stories on that day.

I totally hate this too. Or it’s something about Paris Disneyland, Tokyo or elsewhere that I don’t give 2 rips about. I’m honestly about to unsubscribe from all of them.
If I don’t read it here it ain’t happening.

My "favorite" is when they use indefinitely to mean unspecified date. So RnR closed indefinitely
Uh no. While technically a definition, they intentionally use the word for clicks.

If I don’t read it here it ain’t happening. This one really frustrates me too. The headline is something like, "Disney making MAJOR change to Annual Passes!" and when you click through, it's like Disneyland Paris or Shangai or something. Immediately blocked that site. They knew what they were doing, and immediately lost my trust for it.

Is this a new thing going on, I never had all those crazy click bait Disney headlines until I updated my phone a month ago. But now every single time I go to look for something on google there are all those dumb headlines and it’s NEVER accurate to what the title was. Very frustrating to say the least 🤨

The headline is something like, "Disney making MAJOR change to Annual Passes!" That sounds just like Food Blog! I get their email and usually don't read it, but once in a while I take a peek...it's like "You won't believe this MAJOR change to dining at Disney!" and then googly eyes. I'd say there's about 3 or 4 sites that keep coming up in my feed, that are like tabloid news for Disney. Can't remember what they are called. WDW News Today used to be one of them but they actually seem kinda legit these days.
