Didn't really have time to read the announcement, or the email this morning. Fortunately, I have besties who keep me in the loop! Now I can do an AP that will cover my birthday weekend in October AND our anniversary in November. And if I find free time next Spring, that will be just fine too... Happiness...

Did anybody read the fine print?
"*To purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass, Disney Vacation Club Members must be eligible for Membership Extras. Membership Extras are incidental benefits - these offers are subject to availability, change, or termination and may require a few."

Blue card members can purchase, white card members cannot.

I think we can order any of the four passes. If thats true, we might bump down to the pirate pass.

Also the no reservation for AP holders after 2pm starts 4/18...just a couple of days before the AP are on sale to the general public again. So that all goes together. This may be the source of the prediction that sales would start again in April. THis is what bothered me the most. Last summer, there were times we didn't go to our first park and would enter Epcot around fourt to get something to eat. Nope - had to go to MK to swipe in there first.

Thank goodness they are fixing this. It really won’t be fixed until park reservations are totally gone but this new adjustment is a vast improvement over the current situation.

This is great news but not timely for us. We're going this coming week and leave on the 20th, the day they go on sale...

Good news for all frequent WDW visitors, especially us DVC folk.
Now if they would only get rid of park reservations and park hopping rules.

I miss hanging out with you guys in Disney. You know I left my train garden up so I could enjoy it when I got home. Can't believe I don't get to go back until September.☹️

Thank the Maker! I was in a haze of fever and cold meds this morning (I've got some awful cold/flu bug) when I read this through bleary eyes. Wasn't sure if it was real. this is already changing our June plans, No more resort only stay!! Now looking to stay somewhere besides SSR, but slim pickiins, actually no pickins. My husband was ecstatic to hear this news! I don't know when I've seen him this happy. We'll be ready and raring to go on the 13th!

I was so excited to see the email until I started looking into the details. Why can't DVC owners get an annual pass option without blackout dates?! A discount on each pass type would be much more desirable.
Having to activate the voucher within a year from purchase, and not being able to transfer it within household is more restrictive than in the past, and the timing doesn't give owners the flexibility to hedge against a revocation of sales like the former vouchers did.
Bottom line, while I'm glad they are going back on sale for those who do not currently have an AP, the disclaimer that sales can be suspended at any time is not reassuring and takes away any benefit to those of us who have an AP right now.
