Ugh - moving is work. We have all our stuff from the last house in storage while living in RV. Because we moved a lot for work, there are boxes that have not been opened in a dozen moves. I feel for anyone going through packing, unboxing and/or any part of moving. I hate moving. My husband and I have been married for just over 20 years and every time it’s worse. We have moved 3 times. We have accumulated more stuff especially with 2 kids during the last move. We were thinking of moving again recently and I am just to tired to pack it all up again. We will probably wait until the kids move out and I retire (my husband works from home) and then we will downsize and just throw out a bunch of stuff. 😂

It is! I do hope Brian is enjoying the weather in the Sunshine State because it's a bit cold this weekend!! Saturday got rather toasty. Colder would be preferred… And it is freaking Monday once again. Bah humbug.

Hello all! Need a little inspiration today- Currently trying to clean out the basement family room so I can have a make shift yoga/physical therapy area…We moved exactly one year ago this month and all the boxes we never got to are piled up in there… I am a little freaked out by all the cardboard and I am starting to feel like a hoarder…. Who has got some motivation for me! Not me today... I'm curled up with my cat Good luck though. Unpacking is a daunting task It's not today anymore but I like the Marie Kondo method, it's worked for our family. I'd open a box a hour/day however fast you want to. Take a look inside it and break it into 2 piles, BRINGS JOY/DOESN'T. I'm guessing there will be more in the latter category since these boxes have not been opened, so you probably haven't missed it unless it's sentimental. Keep the joy stuff, get rid of the other stuff.

Pushed a button on the car stereo this morning and caught the tail end of "Margaritaville"! Made me so happy, but when he said "it's my own damn fault" I knew it was the end and I was disappointed. It's playing right now, though /margaritasmiley

One positive about having unopened boxes in the basement is when you break a wine glass, you have replacements you forgot you had. Yes, speaking from experience.

No plans to unpack here.

The only boxes I have are filled with momentos. Instead of putting them in drawers I keep em boxed. No plans to unpack here. The easy way! I have tupperware bins full of stuff that I don't want to go through, because 95% of the things fall into one of two categories: "I want that but don't know what to do with it" or "I can't get rid of that...but I don't know what to do with it" or sometimes there is the "I don't really want that but it's cool and it's potentially worth more than a few bucks so I should sell it or something, but I don't want to do that right now" So...big stack of bins in my garage. Stupid!

Stupid! We have a couple boxes in our basement. One has SW stuff. Like originals. Others have family stuff. None I want out but none I want to toss. Thank goodness for basements Cat left me as I was uploading a few more smilies. Or smileys. Found out both are legit spellings

Started babysitting the baby GK last week. This week eldest asked me to commit until Sept '24  for both of them :jumpingbe :face:. Well, I guess they're gonna learn the real GM versus the indulgent GM. LOL

Well, I guess they're gonna learn the real GM versus the indulgent GM. LOL My sister has two girls, they are completely different with GM than they are with mom (my sister) - with GM they actually behave because she treats them like she treated us: won't put up with anything!

I recommend the fast and furious departure that we made in Dec2020-Jan2021. I haven’t missed anything. I did keep all the photo albums and they are in two bins in the garage. DD seemed to think they are great. She can come get them then.
I do know that a Halo helmet was misplaced that belonged to DS. I think that DH accidentally took it to Goodwill. Either that or it’s in DS’s attic in GA. I want to buy him another one and he keeps saying, but I already have one. “It has to be there somewhere, mom.” He doesn’t understand the lack of a basement, no attic and two closets are all we have here now. I should just buy it for him, keep it here and when I depart for the Golden Cinderella Castle in the sky he’ll find it.

Buy one, get it a little dirty, then put it in a box in the basement and have him look in that box for it As long as you know it's the same I guess
