Evidently he (the great grandson of Walt) and his 2 sisters are in arbitration negotitations to take back creative control of Disney from the current BOD and leadership. Evidently the 2 sisters have not ben active in the company other than voting BOD members but are supporting their brother. Also supported by Joe Barron whose mother was married to Larry Disney. We are seeing the value question now carry into some significant shareholders. If they can drop the park reservations, I’m all for this transition!!!! Geez. For me it is those reservations but even moreso the limits on park hopping (why after 2pm is magic?) and bring back free and gettable fastpasses. |

That’s a really odd news article, starting with the fact that there are no members of the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company with the last name Disney: thewaltdisneycompany.com/investor-relations/#corporate-governance. Maybe there is another company that doesn’t trade under the ticker DIS and does yet own theme parks or make moves that the article is referencing? |

And further weirdness is that there was an article posted last year with a quote from Disney CEO “Joe Barron” in which that supposed CEO apologized for Disney going “woke”. factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.328A3VV As I’m sure everyone on this Board knows, the CEO at that time was Bob Chapek. Is the article linked in the original post on this thread just the ramblings from a fever dream? |

And finally, I think the only grandchild of Walt’s who went by the last name “Disney” was Sharon’s oldest Victoria, who died in 2002 without heirs. All the others went by Miller (Diane’s children) or Lund(Sharon’s children with her 2nd husband). Of course, it is certainly possible that a great grandchild changed his or her name to Disney.

That is a really good theory. and I also wonder if it eases when the foreign Staff ambassadors can fully return. I swear I miss that more than anything at World Showcase and Kidani. |

Park-hopping is allowed starting at 11 at Disneyland. With the 2 parks just literally steps apart in CA, we have always park hopped in the past (including sometimes going through security from the CGV to California Adventure, then walking through that park to enter DL). However, on a brief trip to DL last month, I opted against PH tickets. Interestingly, it seemed like everyone I spoke with either had an AP — err, I mean a MK — or a one park per day ticket. I wonder if the park reservation requirements have meant Disney is leaving money on the table as guests elect not to upgrade to PHs (in contrast to WDW where there was always a significant group of guests who didn’t see the value in park hopping). If so, I see park reservations vanishing sooner at DL than at WDW. |
