I have a feeling we are going to see a lot more points for rent and there will be some downward price pressure. Months ago I made a couple spec reservations for July 4th. I figured they would be a good bet. In the FB groups I count at least ten other July 4th reservations. Not only are they not moving, there isn't any interest in them. Others have said contracts are for sale and prices are falling and they are coming with banked points. I rented out some random studio reservations on a FB Group in March, just like I did in March last year. I was able to get a similar or slightly higher price per point, but the bookings overall were smaller: most interest in just 2 nights.

I've got my flights booked now so my dates are locked. I just made some regular resort reservations direct through the Disney website for now that I can live with but easily cancel. I'm hoping some confirmed reservations start popping up on the monorail or wilderness lodge for 2-3 nights the dates we plan on hitting up MNSSHP. But if not I'll stick with what I already have or pick from any decent last minute dedicated reservations anywhere. We shall see!

Is there a reason for asking a certain amount per point or is it demand driven? Why if $15/pp an indicator of distressed points?

Hello, I believe the amount per point is one of the rules of posting.

Feel free to edit your post if you think something was incorrect. We're trying to be pretty lax here so if you ever make a mistake, don't worry too much.

Is there a reason for asking a certain amount per point or is it demand driven? Why if $15/pp an indicator of distressed points? When I’ve rented my points I’ve only asked for $15 per point. The first time, which was just after re-opening, they were distressed to some extent (5 months) and I was happy to undercut the brokers to rent them out. The next year I just asked the same. Renters were delighted, I was happy. If I have to again I might increase a bit, especially with the exchange rate. But go with what you’re happy with.

Thank you - your message really means a lot I never posted mine on the Mouseowners RTB for that very reason. If you make a mistake like putting your email address in the post, I would probably just edit it out before approving it. I’m sure the others would too. No public shaming here.

Thank you - your message really means a lot Truly if you need anything just ask. I looked at your post and don't see anything bad that stands out to me. Thank you - your message really means a lot I never posted mine on the Mouseowners RTB for that very reason. If you make a mistake like putting your email address in the post, I would probably just edit it out before approving it. I’m sure the others would too. No public shaming here. I didn't have a need to post but it was more daunting. If I ever had to cancel it would've been 7 nights starting on Fridays or Saturdays so confirmed reservations would have been a no go for me. I have been watching my Facebook group for maybe 6 years now, and hands off seems to work. I'd edit too and only to protect privacy. No other reason

We rented our PVB points in 2020 and 2021 through a broker. We got $18 per point and they were scooped up within 2-3 weeks every time. We strategically listed them 11 months before food & wine. The main reason we used a broker, we simply wanted to not have to hassle with everything and it worked well for us.

I read somewhere that you need to fill out a w2 or something similar if you use a broker. Was that the case with you.
