If I ever hit it big (in the lottery that I don't play) I'll be applying to become a member! I sent an e-mail inquiry with all my info before the pandemic and never heard back. Not sure what it takes to get on the list (or confirm you're on a list) for membership.

Not sure what it takes to get on the list (or confirm you're on a list) for membership. It's been pretty closed for a while from my understanding. Even from those who know somebody. Also keep in mind that once you put your name out there you say yes or do not open that door again. Which is why I never sent my name in to begin with. I was unsure of a lot. Still am, but not sure they'll open it regularly enough to be able to ever join.

If I read it correctly, applying does not guarantee you getting in. Not even having what you think is the correct finance. I believe they pick and choose. Just like club membership here in NJ it also takes a letter of recommendation and other things in addition to your salary. I remember typing those letters for my boss before I retired.

Yes, this ^^^^ At one time they invited people to express an interest in joining. That “list” was simply a list to be considered for an interview. Background checks would be done before interview and then a select few were invited to attend. They very much chose you, not the other way round.

Yep, just because you apply doesn't mean you'll get it.

No park reservation required and no park hopper restrictions. I remember when we all used to have this. Now it costs fifty large to get it
Cheers.

Not sure what it takes to get on the list (or confirm you're on a list) for membership. If it's anything like Club 33 in California, the only way to get on the list is direct mail. And even after that, you won't receive a confirmation of being on the list.

Remember it is about making the money - definitely a yearly membership. Think about your DVC points - getting higher and higher per point.

Well, I'm not wealthy and don't know anyone personally who is in Club 33, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
A few years ago a few of us expressed interest in partnering up to join together and share the cost. Not sure how that works, but I remember when doing the math, it wasn't that unreasonable compared to how much we spend now.

If I remember correctly, once the info on Club 33 came out, the partnerships being discussed would not have been allowed. I think all names on the membership had to reside at the same address - or something to that effect. Basically - no "sharing" of a membership.

I've always been curious if there would be any overlap between Golden Oaks residents and Club 33. For example, are Golden Oaks residents allowed to use the Club 33 lounges ?
