Good luck! Completely random thought…. I wonder how often people turn down an invitation to join? I know this means you will never be invited again. No one knows for sure. But I know its less of a thing now, than it was pre-covid. Genie+ and Lightning Lane has only enhanced and solidified being a member.
I do know of one MO member who went thru the process and turned down the offer, but that was pre-covid.

I got an email last night with an invitation for a Zoom meeting to discuss Club 33. They specifically said this isn't an invitation to join, and they specifically mentioned that they will be asking me about my personal and professional life along with our passion for Disney. This should be interesting. I have sent 2 emails in the last half dozen years inquiring about Club 33. So I guess I made the list. No idea if they will extend an offer or not. Just thought I would share as it was interesting. Thanks tomandrobin for sharing the info that you have! Very cool - enjoy the Zoom meeting!

Waitlist times can be long and situations change (illness, moving out of an area, death, divorce, etc.).

The cost does not seem bad for all you get at all. I would most likely need to wait for a little while until the kids are out of the house and done with college though. I was thinking about sending an email expressing my interest to join, but with my luck, I would get an invitation sooner than I would want and would have to turn it down. A future wish for sure, though!

Is it for a set # of years? Can you pass it to your children like dvc? You get a 1 year contract that renews every year.
Nope.
Everytime I read your analysis of Club 33 it tempts me. I just need to see how cash flow will be in Retirement. But since I plan on buying my kids AP's each year (by kids I mean grandkids and if they don't piss me off their parents...) I will be buying at least 8 per year. At current cost that is $8000 per year. About half the Club 33 cost as I recall... Those 50 tickets likely would offset that.

Remember, in addition to the annual dues, there is also a one-time initiation fee that is more than the annual dues. So, ideally, one doesn’t want to be too old when they start. We all know that medical issues are more common as we age and it would really be a bummer to join Club 33 and then end up with some ailment that prevents a person from going to Disney.

I would like to amortise that initial cost over many years. I am 43 years old and hope I have quite a few years of Disney fun ahead of me.

(Okay, don't know how to quote just one person - so I changed the font......)
This is us more or less, it would work out if the kids/grandchildren went every year (add LL,etc.) Definitely worth it - but they don't. Interesting thread.
