Staying in a studio, (walk-in shower if CC), which is preferable of the two locations and why? The only thing I remember is staying at BRV years ago (back when it was VWL) and I didn't like the "open" decks, where you could see all your neighbors. Also, I didn't like that, in lock-off studios, the door to the adjoining 1 BR was near the bed, and I think our neighbors partied all night. I'm looking for peacefulness and a nice view. So which is a better choice, CC or BRV?

Most of the walk-in shower studios at Copper Creek are on the first floor. They are non-connecting. There may be an occasional lock off, but chances are you will be on the first floor, either facing the walkway and DVC pool or the main pool. BRV has a lot of lock offs ( unless you request the secret corner rooms  ). They are currently getting renovated. I am not sure when that is supposed to be completed. We really like staying inside the Lodge. But the main DVC building is not that far. The balconies at BRV are not private, but some of the studio patios at CCV are. Good luck in your decision! |

Those secret corner rooms at BRV are nice! Then again the alt studios at CCV are too! Before I fully answer simbasmom how many people are coming? |

It's just a solo trip. If DH is with me, we get a 1 bedroom.

For a studio I'd stick with Copper Creek, if for no other reason than the crappy connecting door location at Boulder Ridge!
I booked a 1br this summer and initially chose Copper Creek because what I remembered of BR rooms was not very positive - dated decor, etc. However, once I learned the rehab of BR rooms is supposed to be completed by April, I switched to BR. Hopefully that will turn out to be the right decision - won't know until 6/29/23.

It's just a solo trip. If DH is with me, we get a 1 bedroom. Ooh sorry I missed this. With the new theme and solo trip, I'd pick CCV. Just not keen on the studios at BRV now. |

I agree. Everyone should try to stay at CC. More inventory for me at my home resort!  |
