Raspus May trip 7-13
Hello everybody from the Boardwalk.
We arrived yesterday around noon. We didn’t expect our room to be ready and we weren’t disappointed. We had a late lunch at the Big River Brewing. We love eating outside on the boardwalk. After lunch we went to Epcot and walked around. We wanted some champagne in France. I was surprised to find out they didn’t have any champagne. We ended up with Orange slushies. They were very good.
We continued to walk around but we didn’t buy anything except a couple bottles of water. Eventually we ended up at the Herman Hermits concert. We have dinner reservations to see the same show tonight. We watched the whole show and enjoyed it. We will be a lot closer tonight. We then went back to BWV. We still didn’t have a room text. We went to the front desk for some help.
The week before our trip we found out that our credit card was hacked. We called and they cancelled our card. Since that was the card we used when we did the online checkin it screwed up the process. The CM fixed us up and we got our room. I had edited the checkin but apparently it didn’t work.
Once in our room we relaxed and called it a night. I will try to update this as the week goes on.

Sucks about your credit card getting hacked. Been there and hated it. The fallout goes on an on for months. I hope damage is/was kept to a minimum.
Credit Card aside, it seems you made the most of your afternoon. Its been many years since we have eaten at Big River Brewing. You just don't see many reviews of the restaurant.
Hope you have a stellar rest of your trip!

Monday
We had another nice day at Epcot. We walked around the world showcase trying some different food booths. Had the spicy hot dog at the Pineapple Promenade and the swordfish at Farmers Feast. Both were very good. We then went to the Odyssey to visit the Citrus Blossom. We had the citrus baked brie and the lemon meringue pie along with the orange-lemon smoothie. They were all delicious especially the pie.
We decided to head back to the room to take a little break. We got to the boat, boarded and then had to wait for 10-15 minutes before we left. The captain announced that we had to hold. I guess something happened but we don’t have any idea. We finally left and by the time we got back our break was shortened.
We had a 4:00 dinner and show package for the Herman Hermits show. We got back there in time and were seated at a nice outside table. We both had Bangers and Mash which was delicious. After dinner we had plenty of time before the 8 o’clock show. We stopped at France to have some champagne only to find out they still didn’t have any. We ended up with another orange slushie. Soon it was time to go. We were let in around 7:30. The show stared at 8. Peter Noone was very good. Nice to hear songs we grew up with. Very enjoyable show. Glad we made it.
After the show we went back to the room and washed our clothes and called it a day.

Tuesday
We started the day at AK. We walked around the park. We went through the gift stores. We saw Kevin walking around so we stopped and watched him interact with a lot of kids. We had planned to see some shows but our timing was bad so we didn’t wait. We had lunch at Flame Tree Barbecue. It was very good. We watched the poor CM chasing away the birds. Some cranes jumped on a table to grab some food.
It was starting to get hot so we left for the room. We took a break for a while. We had reservations for the sweets and seats dessert party. Not sure about the time we got to the MK but while walking down Main Street we saw a small parade go by. A couple of floars and lots of walking/dancing characters. I wanted a hot dog at Casey’s but the place was packed so we skipped it and went to the spring roll cart for some delicious cheeseburger spring rolls.
No idea what we did after that but we did check in for the desert party at 7:30. We got our table right at the railing. We enjoy the buffet - lots of sweet treats and cheeses. We had some sparkling wine. The fireworks were great and we had a wonderful view. After the show we went back to the room.
Wednesday
We had lunch ADR at Chefs de France but we cancelled it. We spent the day munching our way around the world showcase. We went back to the boardwalk for an afternoon break. We had a hot fudge sundae at the boardwalk ice cream store. We did go back to Epcot when the sun went down.
Thursday
Once again the morning at Epcot eating around the world showcase. We did go to connections cafe for the bistro burgers. They were very good. Then it was back to the room for a rest before heading to HS for Moonlight Magic. We had a good time. I rode Slinky Dog with a 15 minute wait. We saw some characters - Lotso Bear and Jesse and Bullseye. We walked around for a while and had some ice cream. We spent our vouchers on num-num cookies and then left probably around 11:45.
Friday
We were tired from the busy trip and decided to do a resort day. We enjoyed the resort and just relaxed. It was a very relaxed trip. Just what we wanted.

Sounds very nice....love so many areas of WDW. We head to BW for 2 nights post-cruise. We have eaten at Big River several times, usually day of arrival for lunch and once for dinner. Each time was good. We have had the burger, salmon and chicken salad - all were good. The burgers seem different than the standard disney burgers.

Sounds like a great trip. Lots of great food choices and samplings Odd about France not having Champagne. The spicy hot dog is so good. I had it with a glass of sparkling pineapple wine from a FL winery. I wasn’t sure if I would like it because I don’t like sweet. But it was like a glass of Prosecco with a slight after taste of pineapple. Highly recommend for anyone who will be there.

Thanks for the report, and what a nice trip! Glad you got to do Moonlight Magic. It's been years since I rode Slinky Dog (back in the fastpass days) and I miss it but won't wait in the ridiculously long queues these days.

Sounds like you had a nice trip. We were at BCV the same week you were there, Moonlight Magic at DHS on the 11th. It’s always nice to be able to partake in any special DVC event that they offer. DD and I also caught a Herman’s Hermits show. Loved it!
