They will move luggage but not food that needs to be stored. You can move the food and then they will store your food items.

I don't necessarily set out to have a split stay. I am running low on DVC points for this use year, but I was able to snag a few days at BLT this week for July, and I am splitting that stay with Art of Animation. It was kind of a late scheduling. One thing I try to do is schedule my parks around my hotel locations. So while at AoA, we have HS and Epcot scheduled and more MK while at BLT. That makes it worth the trouble for us. But like I said, I understand why people don't like to do it. Our family loves PVB, BLT, and BWV/BC. So I guess split stays are a way to make everybody happy and to utilize the locations within our plans. We do the same. Dinners, too. My "guideline" is "eat close to where you are or where you want to be after dinner." We do split stays frequently. Usually it's pre-DVC resort then DVC resort. We've done Kidani/BWV, BC/BWV, Pop/BWV, BWI/BWV. We also stay at the MCO Hyatt if our arrival flight is a late arrival, then go straight to a park the next morning before checking in at our WDW resort. Gosh, reading all of this is making me miss being there so much haha. And I was *just* there in April! Next trip isn't until Sept.
