Has anyone ever heard of using a Grand Villa as a hospitality suite? Good example being Bay Lake Tower for a firework viewing?

When we were at Grand Floridian (Resort Studio) in February, on our last day we asked for room tour of the actual Villas. One of the Grand Villas there was being used as their DVC office. All of the bedrooms had office equipment. The only area that was really set up was the living/dining room. It was a bit disappointing. Not sure how many grand villas there are at GFV but one is definitely "booked" at all times.

I think that Aulani has an ocean view Grand Villa set up for tours all the time, although there is a separate DVC office near the lobby, so the GV looks like a GV. I would think you could use the GV as a hospitality suite and the real issue is occupancy. Obviously, you could have up to 12 plus an infant. Beyond that, it gets a little dicier, if for no other reason than that you might be in violation of fire codes. Most hotels make a lot of money on events and catering, so Disney will have an incentive to push larger groups into these options.

December 2022 I hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner in our OKW GV for 35 people. I used Maggianos restaurant on International Dr to cater a full buffet. The driver had to show his id at security as did any guest not using Disney transport. There was plenty of room for everyone. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. As long as your guest are respectful of the neighbors I don’t see any problem.
