I am signed up for the half marathon at Disney in January, so I booked for that first week. Southwest flights to Disney on 01/02 were reasonable, but Sunday (1/07) flights were about $100 higher than normal (My home airport is Indianapolis). That adds up for a family of six. Thank goodness helenabear gave us the heads up for the Costco gift cards. I bought $2,000 worth and saved $280 off our flights that way.

Booked DH flight (he is going before us for a couple of days solo trip!) for $340. I cannot do mine and DD until I get 100% confirmation of her Fall Veterans weekend scheduled for something but did a one way coming back for us....prices okay but again more expensive that previously. Checked Jetblue and time was better but price is more...

I should have mentioned that my flights were over $400/person. That’s as high as I have ever paid for Orlando through Southwest.

$408 RT from BWI to MCO in early December. More than I thought it would be. I’ll keep checking to see if it goes down and rebook

We booked our early December trip with the mindset of price checking once a week to get a refund. For example, since we booked our 6/30-7/3 WDW flights from BWI, Robin has been able to get close to $100 per ticket back in credits. |

Last week, there was a Disney gift card discount of 5% + 2% if you used Rakuten (use a rewards credit card and get even more discount).....We got two $500 cards. I will take 7% every day of the week, if I can find it. |

Was able to get our flights booked for Thanksgiving week. We are headed to the Hilton Head resort. The only day Southwest doesn't offer a direct flight from Chicago to Savannah, 11/18? The exact date we need  They offer direct flights every day before and after but not that Saturday. So odd! So I'm making the best of it. The kids and I are flying to Charlotte the night before and staying with my sister. We'll visit with my sweet little nephew for a while and then grab a rental car and drive the 4 hours to Hilton Head  See you there! That's where we're headed for Thanksgiving also. |

Got my November return flight booked at a fairly reasonable price. I already had the flight down to MCO booked. I sure wish Southwest would bring back more of their direct flight from Raleigh to Orlando. They have done away with most any flights with any reasonable hours--I am not a morning person.

Got my November return flight booked at a fairly reasonable price. I already had the flight down to MCO booked. I sure wish Southwest would bring back more of their direct flight from Raleigh to Orlando. They have done away with most any flights with any reasonable hours--I am not a morning person. Did you see the news that JetBlue is going to start daily direct service from RDU to MCO in November? No idea what the flight times will be, but always excited to hear of another direct flight option. |

I should check this more often. Oh well.
I learned it’s a pain to book a minor separate from an adult. (There’s a 2 hour long wait to call!!) I also learned if I need a few more points I can buy them. Bonus, they were “on sale”.

I had not heard that. Maybe this will give Southwest a bit of competition and force them to put some direct flights back on the schedule. I love Jet Blue.

Saved another 5+K points with SW newest mid-week sale. Here's hoping SW continues to offer NS service from PHL to MCO mid-week. At this point I have plenty of points to use for our May 2024 trip. Actually, I am saving so much on our October flights I am starting to get nervous. SW is only offering 1 NS flight a day mid-week so what happens if it is cancelled? Ugh!

SW has booking thru 1st week of March and - GOOD NEWS - they retained their one offering of NS from PHL to MCO.  |

Remember when Rapid Rewards had free flight with 6 round trips. It was so cheap I would book from Kansas City to St.Louis walk around the airport and fly back just to get a free roundtrip . Then they totally changed their entire program .
SouthWest Rapid Rewards sent out a birthday card every year and I saved them all. They are really cool !
Different designs every year. Do they still have the Southwest Magazine on the airplanes?
