Heading to Tokyo at the end of next week and looking to buy our tickets for a few days at Disneyland and DisneySea. Seems like pretty much everything is half price of the US.
They don't sell APs or multi-day tickets but adults are only $60 day, teens are $50/day.
Food and merchandise is way less expensive too. Cafeteria meals are about $8 and beer is $5!
Also, got a really good price on a family size room that can sleep six at Hilton Tokyo Bay which is on the monorail loop.
And the variety of merchandise is amazing! I'm going to pack some extra yen for shopping which is not something I normally do in the US parks.
Seems like the biggest cost/headache is just getting there.

If you haven’t seen this guide I suggest reading it. Buying tickets is a bit of a headache. I didn’t realise just how much until a friend was trying to plan a trip! tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disneyland-tickets/You must buy them in advance, but they only go on sale 2 months ahead (I know that doesn’t affect you now but it makes planning a trip more difficult since you can’t book them when you’d normally book your plane tickets and hotel). Hopefully you can figure it out. Are you doing a trip report?

Wait until you see the Monorail - you're going to be amazed! We have been before but those trips did not go too well. The first time was at the end of our trip during cherry blossoms, we were rushed, exhausted and we were not prepared for freezing rain. The second attempt was a one day trip to DisneySea the Sunday before NYE. It was insanely crowded. It made WDW Christmas crowds look quaint. All the big rides had waits over 5 hours with the wait for Soarin' over 8 hours. The 30 min bathroom line was the last straw before we left. Fortunately they don't pack the parks like that anymore but we are still avoiding weekends. This time we have 4 nights and 3.5 days at the beginning of our trip. But yes, the monorail is amazing as is the attention to detail everywhere.

I already tried and filed to buy via the official Tokyo Disneyland app several times with several different cards, all of which were declined by the app. I tried calling my bank but they said they weren't the ones that declined it. In any event, I have already purchased a few other things via Klook so I'll just buy them there. They don't seem to be selling out but I believe they need to be purchased before the park opens for the day. I'll try and do a trip report but usually I'm so busy when I get back and then when I have the time, I forgot what I was going to write about. Damn old age!
