Maybe there is something I missed, but this was new to me.
We are taking the family to WDW in December (very excited!), staying in a 2 bedroom at Kidani. DH and I are going a day early to take care of any odds and ends before the family arrives. I reserved one night in a studio for this.
When the passholder discount was announced last week I thought it would be nice to surprise DH with club level at the hotel part of Jambo for the one night, but there was nothing available. I have been checking periodically just in case something opens up. Yesterday I accidentally put in the wrong date, and checked for 3 nights instead of the 1 and the room showed available, I was so excited, When I noticed my mistake, I changed the date and the room showed no availability. Thought that was odd, so I put in the 3 nights again and the room showed available, I went back and checked on the details of the pass holder special and it states a one night minimum. Since I had the time I called to check why the room was available if I booked 3 nights but not available if I booked 1. The cast member told me that the resorts can decide their own rules with the passholder discounts and AKL requires a 3 night minimum. I was not aware of this. We generally do all our trips with points and I realize it could be that I am just out of the loop. Not that much of an issue(since we do have a room that night) but am curious if anyone here heard this before?
