Has anyone tried this? How is it? Is it similar to Whispering Canyon Cafe?

We ate there in June. The service and atmoshpere was wonderful. Biscuts, salads and desserts were great. As for the main course the salmon was really good and the chicken was okay. The brisket was very fatty and disappointing. For a family of 4 over 9 we spent $240 with the tip. We all agreed it was a one and done.

The brisket was very fatty and disappointing. Just another perspective - me and my family actually prefer the fatty part of the brisket, assuming the fat is generally rendered. A tip when ordering brisket in general (not sure if they would honor this at Woody's) is that if you prefer more lean, ask for the "flat". If you prefer more fatty, ask for the "point".

Brisket - when we would go to Trail's End and they were slicing brisket, my wife would always want the burnt end parts the guy sliced off and pushed to the side.

At some places, "wet" brisket has fat; "dry" brisket" is lean. I don't know how common that is, but that's what we call it here in the Valley of Texas.

Here in Maryland we call it wet and dry as well. We all typically prefer the wet brisket but this was more huge hunks of fat that had not rendered and you couldn't really get through. It was disappointing as there was little to no flavor but tons of jelly like parts that were not edible. You couldn't even pull it apart. I will say we prefer a more sweet sauce with our meats versus a mustard base so maybe that was part of it. We are glad we did it but the main course did not make the cost worth it for us.

We ate there during spring break. We thought it was great. I do not go to to Florida to get good brisket though, so my opinion of the restaurant was divorced from that. I’m sure it was fine. All of the sides were delicious, the salads were fantastic, and the meat was good. (We learned moist and lean when we were in Texas … wet and dry sound unappetizing! ). For a park that doesn’t have a lot of food options that we enjoy, it was fantastic. We will be back. I liked it better than liberty tree tavern, which is another favorite in a park that doesn’t have many food options we enjoy

We liked it and have it booked for September. As mentioned the salmon was great. I enjoyed everything but the brisket which everyone else liked. Big winner for the decor and everyone freezing when they say "Andy's coming"
