Its a Taphouse located near the Star Tours attraction in DHS. Oh, wow, thank you! I guess I've never been there because I realized early on that I dislike drinking while in the parks. Even just a little alcohol combined with the heat makes me absolutely drained. I get so groggy, uncomfortable, and just end up feeling like I'm dragging for a few hours. We save the drinking for the evenings at home.

HS is usually insane - hard time finding a seat at Baseline. Seriously, I am hoping it is down. It is really unfair to the young families. Then again every thing is: home prices, utilities, food. Mrs. rowrbazzle and I went to Hollywood a few weeks ago. At park open Runaway Railway, RnR, Slinky, Tower, and Rise were all down. It was a complete disaster. By the time the busted rides opened there wasn't a short wait to be had. And there was a line of people waiting for Baseline Taphouse to open, which felt appropriate given the conditions.

I have many friends who have gone on cruises recently or have them scheduled that are not regular cruisers. Alaskan cruises seem to be their hot choice. We're not regular cruisers, and we went on the first one we've done as a family two years ago. We were mostly put-off and aren't looking to cruise again anytime soon. That being said, if we were to, it would probably be an Alaskan cruise on a Disney boat.
We went on an Alaska cruise this year and know a ton of people that did the same. An Alaska cruise is way different than a Caribbean cruise. Every port is an adventure in Alaska.

Just back ourselves, and it seemed less crowded. Very hot, though, very, very hot.

Sometimes I think about when I first started going as an adult, took my wife in October of 2010. I couldn't believe my eyes as everything was five minute waits. Maybe not everything but I distinctly remember walking up to Big Thunder and being shocked it was a walk-on. The good ol' days!

Just came back last Tuesday, felt the parks were way less crowded. Got to Hollywood studios on Friday August 4th at 8:15am (Early hours was 8am). Went in line for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, got on within 20 minutes, headed over to Slinky Dog Dash and got on within a 35min., next waited in line for Toy Story Mania about 15 minutes and got on. The park itself seemed really empty as we were walking around.

We just went at the beginning of August. Crowds were definitely lighter than normal. There were still summer crowds, but they weren’t as high as expected. It is hot, humid, and storms every afternoon. We had a great time, but we know to leave the parks after lunch and not go back for several hours. I can’t imagine being in the parks all afternoon at this time of year with the heat and the storms.

Pre-G+ and COVID my favorite park day was to walk from BC to HS, do our FP+ rides interspersed with attractions like Star Tours and Great Movie Ride, then leave around 1 or 2p. We'd walk back thru the Boardwalk to ESPN for lunch and then continue on to EPCOT to finish our day. We loved that day but now it's gone so Baseline or Derby outside are slotted into the ESPN spot and we tend to Gondola it to Epcot now. Going with the flow.

I think someone is blowing smoke when they say attendance is down. From looking at historical data the crowd level is about the same as in previous years. Nope....Its true, officially attendance is down in the US Disney Parks......both coasts.
Certainly not enough to make a difference in the experience, so I wonder just how bad is the bottom line impact given price increases.
Cheers.

The combined of WDW, DL, DVC, and DCL (all are under the same umbrella) were down 13%. But of that DCL was up for the quarter and DL's drop was no where near as bad as WDW. So based on that, I would guess that WDW is seeing a drop in the 15%-16% range.

In the end, I wonder if the if this 15-16% drop is hitting the bottom line or making things more expensive for fewer people with little overall financial impact. I'd be up for that.
Cheers.
