This is a very random question—
We are staying at Boulder Ridge. When walking on the new carpet in hallways I feel like the carpet “grabs” my shoes. I have stumbled a couple of times. I wear walking/running shoes all the time. Felt the same way on carpet (looks very new) in the waiting area near check-in and Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary. Husband said he saw another person stumble on carpet there while waiting for dinner tonight.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Maybe it’s just me getting older!!

I would mention it to the resort. Others may have had the same experience.

I personally haven't noticed myself and we stayed some time in BRV in our friends' room. Didn't notice outside of Steakhouse 71 either. What shoes are you wearing?

It's not just you. I have had that "sticky" carpet experience several places at Disney. I don't remember specifics of where, just that it's happened. I think it's the sole of some shoes. I am almost always wearing New Balance running shoes (not that I run, I just wear the shoes - lol).

I wonder if it has something to do with some breed of "ultra durable" commercial carpet, maybe the loops of thread they use to make the pile is more akin to fishing line and it gets grabby?

I wonder if it is something with the tread? I know some winter boots I have catch on carpet like that. My summer hiking sandals haven't dealt with it though nor my skechers.
