The new restaurant in Japan is officially opening on August 28th. You can see the menu and make reservations on MDE. I read on the Disney Tourist Blog, they are doing a soft opening now with walk-ups only.
it’s called: Shiki-Sai Sushi Izakaya and it’s where Tokyo Dining used to be.
I was able to get a lunch reservation for the 31st. Looking forward to trying it!

I was able to snag a lunch reservation in September for the kids. They love sushi so I'm sure they will enjoy it.

Just watched the DFB review. Looks good and I like the options but the prices are absurd. About 4-6x more than most places in Tokyo and probably 2-3x as much as places near my house, which has an absurd amount of Japanese options.

I don't know if the quantity is similar, but the "boat" at a local sushi place is $46.95; you get: Assorted of 10 pcs of sushi, 18 pcs of sashimi, rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll |
