I don’t think this was a magnanimous decision though.
They cut the amount they pay new direct buyers who sell back their first year of points. So the OTUPs had to follow suit. Once they stop the Magical Beginnings promotion the price will go back up.

I think the price cut may hang around. Disney still hurting for cash. Just another cash generating avenue.
