The actual day of the 100th anniversary is October 16th. Anyone else going to be in a park that day?
I only realised I will be when looking at the DLP website! No details yet as to what to expect, but I have a feeling it might well surpass anything WDW do, given their 30th vs WDW’s 50th.
We’re taking a short break to DLP during my school holiday week. DH and I were last there in March 1995 - before the Studios park existed. Really excited to go back. Youngest is coming with us too. And it’s also our first time using Eurostar which I’m looking forward to.

I'll miss it by a week or so. I probably wouldn't have thought about going for that like I considered MK 50th or Epcot 40th (which then canceled, planned for the 50th though)

Cheers.

Took the Eurostar from Disneyland Paris to London on our British Isles trip years ago. Some of the waits were rather annoying but overall I would definitely repeat.

Am I the only one who finds the 100th anniversary celebration a big nothing burger?
Some of the merchandise is cute (I have not bought anything) but what is Disney really doing for this promotion? (besides raise prices? )

(besides raise prices? ) I don’t know any details but this is what DLP are saying: Disneyland Paris will celebrate this historic milestone in an exceptional way by treating its guests to a unique entertainment lineup and exclusive Disney experiences on the day Disney blows out its 100 candles. October 16, 2023 is going to be a day to remember! I’m excited for it.

(besides raise prices? ) Nope. WDW 50th. Epcot 40th. Disney 100. Haven’t bought a damn thing besides a pen. Well a pen is useful, so that works, one can always use a pen. I still have a pen, in box from the 25th! Early days when we were those people who bought the big plastic park shopping bags to put all our stash to trek back. Airlines didn’t charge luggage fees. That would be all you would see on the plane going home. People trekking with the huge Disney bags full of ‘souvenirs I had way too much stuff to go through and rid, when we moved, in my attic from Disney. I still have more Disney stuff, I wasn’t able to get rid of that I’m trying to sort through. Now days, I hardly buy a thing. I bought a sweatshirt at the 50th because I was cold. I do love glass blown Christmas ornaments, so I like to see what the store in Germany has, but not Disney related. The sea salt H2O shower wash, husband liked and we would buy in the general market. Again most was not a Disney theme purchase. I did buy a print of illuminations, because I went for the last showing of it and it was alway near and dear to my heart. In Italy, my best find is they have a basket full of different colored marble top wine corks, for $5! I always grab them as they make a nice add on when giving someone a bottle of wine and I use them myself. We are going the first time in years what was once a tradition, with my parents and kids during the first week of December. I’m sure I will buy something, but we shall see. Maybe another sweatshirt if it gets too cold in the parks when I’m not prepared.

I’m more excited about Friday the 13th this October and Leap Year Feb 29 .
I have been doing research , trying to figure out what 100 Years of Disney Movies and Music will be.
I enjoyed the recent premiere of LangLang Celebrates Disney Concert on Disney+ The final performance is Frozen but the second to last , with Tinkerbell arriving is amazing ! Plus LangLang describes the influence of Disney in his lifetime , sharing a rare black & white Mickey Mouse cartoon
I just purchased a Disney 100 Magazine at Barnes & Noble . It describes the history of Disney Movies and discusses the backstory and importance of each one . It is very interesting .
Also , Disney will be sharing a Premiere Film Clip before the beginning of the WISH movie detailing the 100 Celebration . I plan to attend at Disney Springs AMC for Thanksgiving .
Maybe I should make a Disney Park Pass for October 16 , but I have not heard of any announcements especially since they just announced the delay for the Epcot Fireworks whatever it is called. .. , because Disney does not like the music and is completely having to create something different !!! “Luminous” delayed from 10/22/23 to 12/5/23 according to rumor .

(besides raise prices? ) Didn’t even know it was a thing until being at Disney a few weeks back and saw 100th merch. Had to ask my Sister what that was about seeing the display didn’t give any hints and I’m not 1,000% Disney anymore (not keeping up with things anymore). Would have to take out a loan if I decided to buy it anyways. Merch is way too expensive.
