Nearby Celebration had one walking in middle of Town recently in news.
And raccoons galore that will rip you apart too!
When I would walk thru the KC.Mo City Zoo I was always looking for the free - wandering around Peacocks , because they nest overhead in the trees .
I wonder how Disney is handling the guests with Genie and LL for this morn .
Glad nobody was harmed .

Did they capture the bear ? Disney contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) which came in and trapped the bear which will relocated in or around the Ocala National Forest. Most of the closed area reopened around 12:30 pm. |

There is a video apparently shot from a helicopter showing them taking the bear out. At the end they zoom out and you can see it's backstage in the woods behind haunted mansion & small world. Bear removal |

I have seen a family of deer standing in the Indian Village passing by on the train !
I asked the conductor and he said Yes They knew about the deer . So I wasn’t daydreaming .

We have seen Deer, snakes (one large one), racoons, and rabbits at the Wilderness Lodge where we stay most of the time. I can imagine there is more than one bear in the woods around Disney World. The thing that is suprising is that one has not been spotted before now.

The thing that is suprising is that one has not been spotted before now. Actually, DH reminded me that a black bear was seen on the path between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, and we speculated that that may have been part of the reason that the path has never reopened. Also, I vaguely remember there was talk of a black bear being seen at Old Key West several years back. |
