Has anyone spent NYE at Disney Springs? I see it is listed as only being open until 1130p? just wondering if they make folks leave by 1130por if they just no longer admit ? Also, is there entertainment and festivities??

Some of the restaurants/lounges host countdowns and/or have musical entertainment. Not too much beyond that but a nice place to be, especially if staying at Saratoga or Old Key West.

Back in the day, when we first joined DVC, Downtown Disney use to have a big NYE celebration, including fireworks. The first couple of years we celebrated NYE at WDW, we would spend NYE at SSR. The Congress Park Pool would have a DJ, bar service and of course that primo fireworks viewing area by that pool. Sadly, Disney did away with all of that stuff. Then we changed to celebrating NYE at DHS with Osborne Festival of Lights, then ring in the New Year with a live band and fireworks.....the past few years DHS celebration was either nixed or muted.
I would plan on either MK or EPCOT for an in person experience, or one of the resorts close to them with views of the fireworks.

Glad for the ask. We will be at OKW and had thought to spend some time over there. We did Epcot pre-Covid and spent a long night with a reported 90,000 of our closest friends. I’m still cringing at the number of people…already told the fam we are not going to be in a park that night.

By the way, I noted that the thread title is "New Tears Eve." Does that mean you dislike the big crowded events on 12/31 as much as we do? Cheers.

The OP can edit the title if they are logged in to correct spelling . I admit Disney gives me new tears and old tears more than once a year with so many daily announcements , etc, etc .

We spent last NYE in EPCOT and I was surprised that it was not nearly as crowded as we had braced ourselves for! We very much enjoyed the day/evening. This year we are flying in on the 31st and probably won’t even make it to The Springs! 😞
