DVC announced that the Phase 2 of the Villas at Grand Floridian are officially sold out.
DVC will be more active on exercising their ROFR on future resale contracts.
Disney still owns around 3% of the resorts 1,779,822 points, give or take a percentage.

It will be interesting to see over the next few year how these BPK owners use their points. I am hoping it will not drastically affect booking in the original building and the larger villas.

It was already a hard to book resort. I don't see that to change going forward.

I'm glad we were able to change our may trip to VGF (surprisingly, the dates are still available) as the popularity of this place had me concerned. Looking forward to it even if we had to cut out one night due to the higher point cost. One night at the MCO Hyatt.

Any way Poly2 gets moved up for sales with only VDH for sale at the moment? How soon can they get the FW cabins ready for sale?

Any way Poly2 gets moved up for sales with only VDH for sale at the moment? How soon can they get the FW cabins ready for sale? Sales will not be too early for PVB no matter what. Next spring to summer. VDH is not the only one for sale though. RR and Aulani too. |

Yes, I remember that all too well, Tom. I am sorry we have not run into each much more since that day, but I have always appreciated staying in touch thru MO's and now here. I have never once regretted my purchase at VGF--in fact, I am checking in there tomorrow for 11 days.

It was and now I am ready to look at walking my summer trip in a 1 bedroom standard view. Ugh! |

We originally stayed at GF pre-DVC. Our experience was such that even though we enjoyed the lobby, the stores and Narcosses we avoided a repeat stay. In my goal to stay at all the Eastern DVC properties we stayed there a night pre-cruise this past March. DH was grousing but it was 1 night - suck it up. We REALLY ENJOYED our time. It was such a different experience. The pool bar stayed open! We were like 'are you closing?' and the bartender responded as long as we were drinking the bar would stay open!!! Then we moved up to the Enchanted Rose to experience their Old Fashioneds - which were fantastic (I spent 10 minutes inhaling mine - LOL), as was the manners of the wait staff and bartender (so different!).
I think adding the DVC to the GF has made it a kinder, gentler and much more enjoyable place. No noses in the air anymore. I still think it's a trek to the monorail, Polynesian and MK.

It's so weird: I've never stayed at VGF, never had an interest in it, don't care for the decor, and don't like the concept of the studios that were converted from hotel rooms, but I still get a feeling of FOMO when I see it sold out lol.
