Reminiscing about the good old days where our local movie theater was a fun, social event every weekend. It use to be so packed, we’d show up an hour early to get in line and the visiting, socializing with everyone began. I honestly feel sorry for young generations who misses out on that environment. Everything seems so immediate for them that they miss out on conversation and laughs.

Everything seems so immediate for them that they miss out on conversation and laughs. I honestly don't think it's that much more immediate as a parent of a teen. They do many other things and hang out for hours but movies just aren't something even my generation really does anymore. Our movie theaters became disgusting with literal rat infestations and cockroaches. Nope, don't wish that on anyone. They just go to coffee shops for hours to talk or a local cozy deli or get ice cream and chat for hours. I remember being in line for the midnight showing of movies and that was fun. Gross people talking over a movie? I got tired of that fast.

We just ditched D+ the original content they have is pretty crappy now as a whole. Not worth to keep. Totally agree! We kept it before because it was so cheap - but with the price increase its just not worth it - we never use it. The best work around is to subscribe to Hulu. They just had their Black Friday deal (not sure if it is still going) for something like $2/month (Hulu with ads). You can lock in that rate for a year. Once you are subscribed, you can add on Disney plus for $3/month extra. I did that last year when it was $3/month for Hulu (+$3/month Disney plus add on).

That's even better!! I'm guessing you are still able to add Disney plus on for $3 more, correct?

We've been doing the Hulu Black Friday thing for a few years (just alternating accounts). I forgot to cancel my Disney+ last month and it unfortunately renewed at the crazy high rate. Next year though...

There is talk to bring Tim Allen back, after they realized their re incarnation was a flop as many of their movies of late has been. They should bring back Tim Allen as Buzz. As much as i like Chris Evans - he is not Tim Allen. but besides the voice overs, the stories are meh. Toy Story was about lifelong friendships - not a love story. Why would they ever separate Woody and Buzz in Toy Story 4? They need a new media creation team.

www.cnbc.com/2023/11/27/disney-wish-disappoints-thanksgiving-box-office.html?&qsearchterm=disney%20wish%20movie Disney’s ‘Wish’ disappoints during Thanksgiving, extending an animation box office rutDisney’s “Wish” fumbled at the box office during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, tallying just $31.6 million over the five-day period. It faced ticket sale competition from “Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” “Napoleon” and “Trolls Band Together.” It’s historically rare for Disney to lag at the Thanksgiving box office, but it’s struggled since the pandemic to inspire moviegoers to head to cinemas for its newest features.
